Ok so I understand how frustrating today was. Especially when a team comes to the mem with tactics to go long everytime and high press our defense.
But at the end of the day we're still top and our fate is still in our hands. I know we were poor today but we must stick behind the boys if we want to get out of this league! Onwards and upwards to Halifax next Saturday!

So what was embarrassing? I'm just saying, it's hardly the end of our season as people are making out.

So what was embarrassing? exactly what I was wondering... I just finished off the kids (not literally...) so not been on any fora today. is it kicking off? I guess 1 loss in 21 is a real shocker. Especially against a team that was better on the day [although not better over 38 matches].

You'd have to be pretty pessimistic to write us off when we're top with 8 games to go. Even if we're in the playoffs, it's not "end of season". We'll all be back onside next week.

DC s interview on the Radio was very good I thought.
watered off at the loss, but happy we dodged a much worse outcome.

So i was quite relieved. bad day at the office for top 3. it happens. But ... as I walked I heard other gasheads say they were p'ed off we missed a chance to get more ahead. Life takes allsorts I guess.

There are positive humans beings on the other forum. Many of whom came from the OF. Many positive comments, and also many negative ones. It's just another forum. It's not relentlessly negative, just like this one is not relentlessly positive. No harm in dipping in over there to see what's going on. It's hardly OTIB. And I read the NLBR thread there as well. Although they hate us and dismiss us, they cannot ignore us. They want to. They really do. But they can't.

Is that after "The Gas" gave the incorrect information about the AGM's Q & A and then slagged off a fan who had been refused admission?

Dodged a bullet today with Barnet losing. Eight games to go and they won't all be this tough, but at some stage this side has to prove they are worthy of DC's assertion they are "the best team in the league"... Maybe having the weight of that unbeaten run lifted can actually work in our favour. I would love to read of another terrific performance like Grimsby (away), Macclesfield (home) and Gateshead (home) though, rather than games in which we play badly and sneak a win... (Alty, Braintree).

Not being funny, just sometimes individuals and/or a team have an off-day. If he can pinpoint a reason, I hope he keeps it to himself so the remaining oppositions don't figure it out...

Look it's football, every team no matter how good (or bad) will lose matches. We lost our first one in over 20 games so let's not lose perspective of that. So let's support the team for the final games of the season. We are the gas, we are faithful and true and we can do this!

But was he able to pinpoint why we lost because that performance was a DISGRACE ! He did say it was an awful performance all over the pitch by us. He didn't hide. Average attendance current season BRFC: 6173 Eastleigh: 1659 And they have a "good team"? I was thinking the same after that abject 1st half performance against Braintree The thing is how many times have we witnessed "abject" performances for at least a half? Against clubs who are miles behind us in terms of support and the finance that raises? I still think we will squeeze over the finishing line in first place, but frankly thats about how bad other teams are rather than the excellence of our own play. Is it tactics or the players? And how does that bode for next season if we go up? Does anybody think we will survive playing like this?
