Yesterday was disappointing, Eastleigh looked more up for it and we seriously lacked creativity. Hopeless balls forward, things were getting desperate. Really frustrating game and Eastleigh really did a job on us. Time wasting 3/4's of the match but it worked to be fair.
Going forward, that is our first defeat in 21 games. That itself shows how far we have come, Clarke said he is looking to bring in a central midfielder this week which is really, really important in my opinion as we need to replace Lockyer in the middle and Clarke might be coming back but he is too similar to Mansell and Lockyer as well. I think Leadbitter has come on leaps and bounds and I'm not sure who I'd play out of him and Lockyer at RB. Easter is due back anytime soon. We are still top of the league and still the form team over the past 6 games, Barnet seem to be collapsing and I'm starting to think Grimsby and Macclesfield might end up proving more of a threat.
Last time we lost (in a very similar sort of game) we went on a 20 match unbeaten run, let's hope we can start another!

Tbh if anyone had offered us top spot with 8 games to go you would have bitten their hand off ! Destiny in our own hands still : Barnet game in hand unlikely to mean they will catch us given their badly timed loss of form.
