they are seriously slipping. Even with making the changes many suggested they have struggled. And Clifford loan is now a 'situation'. Eastleigh strengthen their squad every 5 mins.
it's a 6 horse race now!
Judging on their current form I'm not sure Halifax and Gateshead can make much impact now, even with games in hand.

Barnet's problem was peaking far too soon. It's hard to keep that sort of form going over the season without going through a sticky patch. Unfortunately for them, they have hit that patch at the wrong time, with teams around them smelling blood.

Let's not get to cocky they can still go above us if they win their game in hand.

ONE PERSON I KEEP HEARING ABOUT... DARRELL CLARKE, BRISTOL ROVERS BOSS Darrell Clarke has grafted through the lower levels where he had success. As a player he was at Mansfield Town, Hartlepool United and Salisbury City. He’s a young manager, only 37-years-old, who has done a magnificent job galvanising Rovers after relegation from League Two. It showed how much it meant to him when he was reduced to tears after they were relegated out of the Football League for the first time in the club’s history last season. They have kept thousands of very passionate supporters this season and he has guided them to the top of the Conference table. He is a manager to look out for in the future. If we don't go up now then they might not have to look far this summer to find him!
I can't see it's a 6 horse race but it's certainly looking a 4 horse one, this weeks signing/Saturday's results could be crucial.

Pressure getting to Mad Dog. Doesn't know whether he's coming or going! Now says he doesn't need any new players...

I have nothing against Allen, except that I can't stand the guy.
I hope he melts down.
We have to watch Macc & Grimsby though!
I am genuinely glad that our manager isn't writing web columns and picking balls out of hats though.

If Barnet lose to Eastleigh on Saturday (and I really think they will) then I think they'll be the likely team to finish outside of the play offs, there are 4 teams right behind them who are all winning games (Macclesfield, Grimsby, Forest Green, Eastleigh)

He is clearly getting worried writing open letters such as that and changing his mind from 'eyeing reinforcements' to 'stick with what we've got' so quickly. I agree that they are looking the most likely to slip up and have consecutive trips to Eastleigh and Halifax in the next week and I can only really see 1 point max there. Without Akinde penalties they would probably not even be in the playoffs right now.
The Macc game will be the big one for us, other than that we shouldn't have any problem with the other fixtures on paper (we all know that football rarely goes to according to the script mind) and I feel that the title is ours to lose now. A point at Macc and wins in all of our remaining home games should be enough.
I must admit I completely forgot what the stresses of this end of a table are like, much more exciting than looking at relegation rivals results.

Anybody read his open letter? Full of little digs, and I suspect the mentioning of DC in his column is mind games, to an extent.
Allen is a liability at this point in the season, which is why when people were praising him and 'wishing' they had him instead of DC earlier in the season, I really couldn't agree.
Some bits from the open letter here:
