Enjoy. Was the ball over the line or did Parkes really save our blushes?

Like the new graphics, but not keen on how the lines behind the badges on the lineup screens keep making swastikas.

Not difficult strange gas. No it wasn't over the line. In fact in freeze frame at best it just about got to the line.
Doesn't hide a poor performance though. What was highlighted yet again was how deep our midfield drop back in defence. They are basically standing on our back lines toes.
At least three times when defending corners in the first half we had no one covering the ball coming out of our box thereby leaving Eastleigh with a free shot on goal.
In general play our midfield are so deep the opposition have got about half of our half to roam at will. It seems to me that Mansell is the one who begins the retreat. We really need to hold a higher line and engage the opposition before they are in shooting range.
Learn the lesson and move on. Had a great run now we have to begin another one ASAP.

Their first goal actually gives Mildenhall more credit on the highlights. It was much worse in real life, there was nothing in his way, nothing even got close to line the ball took. Awful.
Woeful defending for their second.
Mildenhall made a few saves but none spectacular.
Our goal was a foul by Harrison in the build up.

Don't agree it was a foul, more like Eastleigh were trying to buy another cheap free kick. Yeah, that player was unmarked for the 2nd, I'm guessing Lockyer should have had him?

Giving anyone that much space in box is asking for trouble, and we got it. Schoolboy
Jake Barbers view of the mildy fumble is as I saw it. A dreadful fumble for a ball straight along the floor, with macca on the ground!

Taylor's goal was total quality yet no-one seems to be mentioning it, because of how poor we generally were, because it came out of the blue, and because the Eastleigh players whinged. Not a foul. Pell [tallest player on the pitch] walks right in front of Harrison, then fails to jump for the header. That's more likely a foul to us than a foul to them. He knows he's been a wimp so falls on the floor claiming a foul. Exc goal. Fast free kick (clever), good link play and very good finish. As soon as that went in I had a good laugh at the Eastleigh players surrounding the ref. Pell doesn't half go down easy for a big lad who has his own discipline problems. I thought Pell, Midson et al were a disgrace. Their performances would have been more at home at the theatre than a football pitch.

I could quite happily of knocked a few of their players out. Top of the list would be: Midson Green Pell Stanley What a bunch of ****s.

I must admit I haven't been as annoyed at a player this season as I was with Pell on the weekend. Always moaning and going down easily and he topped it off when he went off injured, came sprinting on 10 seconds after leaving the pitch smiling at the Blackthorn End.
On the plus side, watching those highlights shows we actually had a couple more chances than I remember including Harrison and Taylor with good opportunities in the first half. Very good finish by Taylor for his goal too.

Did our defence just forget what they were meant to be doing for the second goal ,. We were always going to have an "off day" just hope we don't get any more this season ,just as we were never going to unbeaten to the end of the season . Oh well onwards and upwards UTG

Odd they didn't show the Midson "dive" but mentioned it when he scored? if he'd gone after 30 mins that could have changed the outcome, if nothing else he wouldn't have been unmarked on our box for their 2nd!

Well he went down in the penalty area but the ref waved away any penalty appeals, surely that makes it a dive when he didn't just fall in a tackle? Although that's why I'd like to have seen it again to check, it would also make sense as to why the commentator referred to Midson as the villain when he scored, clearly he was thinking along my lines.

Well after a long day welcome to the boardroom, please make yourselves comfortable.
The task set on Saturday was to come away with three points. And you bloody failed, and bleedin miserably.
Right, i'm gonna be easy on the lads and team leader Darrell - Why? Because after a unbeaten run longer than John Holmes' schlong and a cracking run of 5 straight wins i think the lads deserve a bit of understanding. I remember selling goods on a market pitch in Hackney more years ago than i sodding care to remember. I had a brilliant four weeks trading, doing deals and raking in the bloody dosh, i then had a day where i just wasn't at the bleedin races. I was gutted i thought i'd let myself down, but looking back over the following weeks it served as a reminder to concentrate 100% and fight for every sodding sell. You know, we all have off-days where it just don't work out, buts whats important is how you respond and where you go from there.
So Darrell, lads, just get back to work, think where you went sodding wrong and put it right, be honest with each other and get back on track on Saturday. Look at that table - Who's top? Who put in all that bloody hardwork and sacrifice to get there?....You bleedin did and you can sodding well do it again!
Now then, the lad that run on the pitch..... not clever young man! Hey we've all been there where you're bleedin frustrated, and many of us are still like a sodding volcano waiting to spew with the garbage we've watched in recent years. So go away think honestly about yourself and YOU decide what you need to do. FWIW i'd ban you for a few games for being stupid but nothing more, i get the feeling you know you did wrong and maybe a harsh lesson has already been learnt. No one will ever know that you've had a lobotomy, if you wear a wig to hide to the scars and learn to control the slobbering.
I was very pleased to see young Chris signed on loan from Port Vale earlier, i think we will all enjoy a on-form Linesy if he reaches anywhere near his best. Just wondering- if we have Lines at The Mem does that mean we may see Norburn again? Only joking don't get yourselves wound up, without a bit of sodding humour supporting Rovers would be impossible.
One more thing, can we have less bleedin insults banded around when you don't agree with someone, forum's are for debate in case you sodding need educating and some of you yesterday had mouths dirtier than a sodding wicker toilet seat. Mrs S was unimpressed i can assure you.
Right, enjoy your week and i'll see you all at the next task. And try to sodding remember we're top, enjoy it for christs sake.

I think the mistake for leaving someone so unmarked for their second goal was nearly as bad as mildys for the first, unforgiveable lack of concentration.

The adjudicator said after the game that Midson should have gone, and that on 7 or 8 occasions he felt the ref was wrong not to penalise play by Eastleigh.
The ref apparently said he was trying to keep the game flowing. NO. You make the players obey the rules.
I still believe that adjudications should be made public. This much is because he said it publically.

It seemed at the time either a pen or a dive, perhaps NH could demand a reply? LOL
