Mildenhall 4.5 Perhaps slow to get across for the first goal but the defence should have dealt with it better.
Leadbitter 7.5 Quiet in the first half, he bombed forward in the second and gave us an urgency to our attacks. Covered across well from wingback on a couple of occasions. The one player who really benefits from a 3-5-2/5-3-2 formation.
Lockyer 4 Decided that given the state of the pitch he was going to take no chances with his passing and so hoofed everything
McChrystal 5.5 Lost his man for the second goal but tidied up at the back well as a sweeper when everyone else went forward in the second half
Parkes 6.5 Looked to get a foot on the ball and play out from the back. Had little that came his way defensively.
Brown 5 Solid game, missed Monkhouse ahead of him in the first half and kept switching play back inside.
Mansell 2.5 Had an awful game. Struggled more than most to get the ball under control and lost it at least three times to give Halifax a counter attack.
Clarke 4 Didn't add much but was involved more than either of Mansell or Lines in the first half.
Lines 5.5 Anonymous in the first half, got more influential as Halifax sat back.
Monkhouse 4 this wasn't the game for him.
Taylor 3.5 Could be forgiven for the lack of service he received in the first half, but missed a couple of good chances that Harrison set up in the second.
Subs: Harrison 7 Caused Halifax problems by moving from defender to defender. Filled good spaces and got the ball moving quickly. Wasn't always the right option, but he worried Halifax every time he got on the ball.
Easter 6 Looked confident in possession but wasn't as physical as Harrison.
Balanta 4 Looked like he was running through treacle after 2 minutes.
DC 5 Not the right team and the players seemed to have a mental block over the pitch.
Ref 8 Got most of the decisions right. Unfairly booked Parkes but that was the only grievance I had.
Halifax 6.5 Knew how to play on the pitch in the first half with the right amount of build-up play and long balls. Sat back too much too early as they clearly tired.
