as an mtfc fan who went to the game, I was not impressed by the gas, all the smoke you blow up yourselves is really full of hot gas! I hope the cod go up and we will join them after doing you in the semi's, and killing the bees in their nest in the final. Really all your money, parachute, fan base......I'd be embarrassed, no wonder you think you are too good for the conf, we're just happy to be here after nearly going out of business in the summer. As a reminder lines and Easters salary must equal our squads!!! Lol You know nothing about our salaries, so guessing just makes you look stupid. Gas 4 Maccs 0 Maccs 0 Gas 0 Thankyou. |

Both him and Easter wanted to move closer to home so money might not have been the biggest motivator. You might not have been impressed by us which is fair enough as we were crap but could you beat us at home? No. In fact you were lucky to keep 11 men on the pitch after that elbow. |

Puddy 5. One decent save, distribution was absolutely shocking.
Leadbitter 6.5. Best player in yellow today.
Parkes 5 Decent enough, thought he was going to get a red though.
McCrystal 5 Not been at his best recently.Today was no exception.
Brown 5 Looked good at times.
Balanta 1. Didn't look interested from the get go,looked slow.Rightly substituted.
Easter 4. struggled and missed a decent chance.
Taylor 2. No hold up play, seldom found his own player,missed another chance.poor again.
Monkhouse 3. Did nothing to affect the game.
Clarke 2, poor tactics,clueless manager.

Watched on tv...
Puddy 7 - Kicking was poor in the first half but I will give him the benefit of doubt with the wind. Fantastic save first half and did what he had to do.
Leadbitter 7 - Improving all the time. I like him.
McChyrstal 6 - Solid if unspectacular.
Parkes 6.5 - Solid as usual, shouldn't have been booked.
Brown 6 - Steady eddie.
Balanta 3 - Poor, defensively ok but offered little going forward and not mobile enough.
Lines 5.5 - Unlucky with the free kick but not really involved enough.
Lockyer 5 - Passing not great, I like him but think we need someone else in the middle.
Monkhouse 4 - Fan of his but was disappointing yesterday.
Taylor 5 - Service up to him wasn't great but had a chance and s**t himself with a poor effort straight at the keeper.
Easter 5 - A bit like the game as a whole - an anti climax. Disappointing, hardly in the game and missed a couple of fairly decent chances.
Subs: Dawson - 3. Poor, didn't beat his man once.
Blissett - 5.5. Thought he looked up for the cause when he came on.
DC 5 - Failed to motivate his players, made the subs too late to make an impact. The Balanta sub was at 10-15 mins too late.
Ref 3 - Wrong to book Parkes and missed the big incident with the red card.
Macclesfield 6 - Solid performance, should have been infront at HT.

Results are in and Will Puddy is chose by both those that were at the match, and those who watched on TV as the Man of the Match. This was Puddy's first MotM of the season and puts him into the top ten players this season Opinion was split in other areas though. Those at the match decided that Tom Parkes was the second-best player while those who watched on TV thought Leadbitter was better. Overall, the ratings were more favourable from those at the game who gave the starting XI an average of 5.81 compared to 5.74 from those who watched on TV.
