Puddy 6 sloppy mistake early on but generally sound Lead bitter 7 once more impressive especially going forward Parke's 7 A rock quite simply Lockyer 6.5 Good wherever he plays, but not brilliant Brown 7 Steady as usual and a good threat Dawson 6.5 Had two men on him but much improved from cameo in the Macc game Mansell 8.5 Magnificent, we miss him when he is out Lines 7 Getting fitter and has the eye for a good ball Monkhouse 8 Gives us experience and height and chips in with good goals Taylor 8 A constant menace, works hard wish he would not dive so much Easter 6 May have had a field day if not got injured
Harrison 7 still prefer him from the bench late on, great finish though McCrhystal 7 Did what he needed too, felt strange he didn't start Blissett 6.5 Showed a glimpse of what he is made of but not enough time on
DC 8 Got it spot on though would have preferred Macca to start Ref 6 Quite average and had a crap assistant Chester 4 Rubbish and lacking confidence and form

Puddy 5 one poor kick but other than that was ok Leadbitter 7 good game, defended well and got forward well Lockyer 6 defended well on the deck, not so strong in the air,but still think it's his best position Parkes 6 couple of nervous moments second half, but overall a good game Brown 6 good game Dawson 5 Two great crosses but not on top form Mansell 8 his best game imo,was everywhere first half Lines 7 showed his class at times and I felt looked a good middle pairing with Mansell Monkhouse 7 his best game aswell, our first player to score two in a league game, and some nice passes Taylor 7 thought he looked back to his best, fair play to him as I would of rested him today Easter 5 not on long but nowhere near as mobile as against Aldershot
Subs Ellis 7 Powerfull and caused them problems, decision making a bit off at times, but great shot for his goal, don't know how he got such power in it McChrystal 6 Good call by DC to bring him on,made us stronger in the air Blissett 6 not on long but a lovely touch to put ellis through
DC 8 much better, he even seemed more up for it himself, playing Lockyer centreback as Chester play on the deck, then bringing on McChrystal when they were getting some joy in the air and he stopped that Ref 8 best one I have seen,he even got involved in our play for the first goal Chester 4 Have enjoyed both games against them, play some good stuff, but are better going forward than defending, especially crosses

Puddy 6 sloppy mistake early on but generally sound Lead bitter 7 Looked shaky in first half, played much better when pushed forward Parkes 6 Had a shaky period in 2nd half, let his opponent get the headed goal Lockyer 4 Atrocious passing and then had to be moved from CB position cos he was struggling 2nd half Brown 6 steady game, was lucky he didn't give a penalty away at 3 -1 (wrestled opponent on goal line) , crossing let him down a bit today. Dawson 6 very good first half, lost his way 2nd Mansell 8 strong performance, full of energy, commitment and composure Lines 6 steady but unspectacular, find it disappointing that he NEVER uses his left peg. Monkhouse 7 pops up in the right places for his goals. did well in the air Taylor 8 My MOM, fantastic all round performance, set up lots of situations/chances - a pleasure to see him cross well with his weaker left foot too ! Easter 6 nearly scored at 1 nil. Was looking sharp.
Harrison 6 very good finish, but looks awkward when moving to the ball and deciding what to do with it. McCrhystal 7 Did well to secure the middle during the dodgy spell Blissett 6 some very effective flicks, one set up Harrison's goal
DC 8 I put my hands up over Taylor and Monkey inclusion, but Lockyer shouldn't be starting ahead of McChrystal. Ref 7 Good but missed a pen for Chester (who cares you'll say). Chester 5 good second half, but weak at the back and allowed us to run through them at times.

Puddy 6 A lucky let off with a silly mistake. Lead bitter 7 One of our most improved players imo. Parkes 7 Solid game as usual. Lockyer 5 Got muscled off the ball too easily today and passing not good. Brown 6 Did well and got forward when he could. Dawson 6 Starting to get his form back. Mansell 8.5 Worked his socks off. Lines 6 Worked hard and used the ball well.
Monkhouse 7 kept possession better today and won loads in the air,and two goals to boot. Taylor 7.5 Great workrate and movement off the ball. Easter 6 Unlucky not to score as the defender made a good clearance.
Harrison 6 Took his goal very well. McCrhystal 7.5 Looked a tower of strength when he came on. Blissett 6 Held the ball up well and lovely pass for Harrisons goal.
DC 8.5 Spot on today.
Ref 7 Good Chester 5 Not bad going forwards, but awful at the back. How their striker missed an open goal,i will never know.

Puddy 5.5 Poor kick nearly conceded a cheap goal but otherwise steady.
Leadbitter 7 Improving every game and today shown why DC signed him over Higgins. Lockyer 6 Steady game from Lockyer in his preferred position. Parkes 7 Consistent all season Brown 6 Made an idiot of himself a couple of times but mainly solid.
Dawson 6 Better from him but still not quite upto the same standard as earlier during his loan Mansell 8.5 Really important we have him or Sinclair in the side. Always presses the opposition and leads by example. Lines 6.5 Did alright, can spot a pass and feel lot more comfortable with him and Mansell. Monkhouse 8.5 Well taken goals, good passing, good in the air. Taylor 8.5 A class act, involved in a lot of build up play and scored the first. Easter 5 Didn't really do anything before being subbed except one shot over the bar
Harrison 7 I feel he is improving all the time and a great finisher of the ball. Can link play as well. If we can just mature him that little bit more he could be one hell of a player. McChrystal 7 solid as usual this season. Blissett 7 That flick on for Harrison's goal was simply sublime.
DC 8 - Spot on. Ref 7 - better than most I have seen this season and nice assist for our first. Chester 5 - Could see a good footballing outfit there but were poor defensively. Maybe if they hadn't arrived so late hen it wouldn`t have been so easy for us?

Harrison 7 McChrystal 7 Blissett 6

Chester 6 - Liked their never say die attitude even when getting dicked they still had a go ! Thought their right back (Higgins) had a good game - is this the same Higgins we had on trial ?

One thing I do think though is that we definitely need one of Mansell or Sinclair playing. I think the Macclesfield game really shown how important they have been this season. Don't get me wrong, Lines is a decent player but he is more of a luxury compared to Mansell or Sinclair.

My own opinions from the game:
Puddy 6.5 Kicking was much improved and made a good save from an offside chance.
Leadbitter 7.5 Quiet game for most of the afternoon, came alive when playing at wingback Lockyer 5 Struggled to assert himself, and I didn't think his passing was much of an improvement on McChrystal's. Parkes 6 Felt he could have helped Lockyer out a bit more. Brown 7 Supported Monkhouse as always. Consistent and untroubled.
Dawson 6 Great cross for the first goal but in and out of the game too often and slowed down play at the wrong moments. Mansell 8.5 I hadn't thought he's been holding himself back before, but he Lines 8 Adds a dynamism to the midfield as shown in the first goal when he picked the ball off the ref and drove forward. Monkhouse 8 Two clinical finishes and lots of touches in the build-up to goals. Plays some clever passes and got a foot on the ball when we struggled for a bit in the second half.
Taylor 7 Took his goal well and constantly provided link-up play. Easter 5.5 Hard to judges on half an hour but he did miss a great chance.
Subs: Harrison 7.5 Added pace to the attack and worked hard to deserve his goal. Unfairly offside on a one-on-one as well. McChrystal 7.5 The game needed his calming presence and he took their striker out of the game. Blissett 7 Limited time to impress but a great flick on for Harrison.
DC 8 Not afraid to switch formation and despite some heckles from the crowd over a negative sub, we actually attacked better after the switch. Ref 8 Great interception that led to the first goal, if anything gave too many decisions our way and kept being really fussy over where they took their free kicks. Chester 6 Didn't look too bad, but as a midtable team weren't that up for the game.

You know what, that really annoys me.
DC may make the odd mistake but I'm really struggling to remember the last time he either got a substitution badly wrong or when he didn't make things better after a change.
I can't honestly say I have ever seen one that I've either disagreed with or that I couldn't at least understand what he's tried to do.
We are very lucky to have him. He has completely won me over.
