Ah well, I'll take Grimsby dropping points.
Barnet were poor by all accounts, and have Halifax, Kiddy and Gateshead to play after Monday.

I think we would have taken dropped points for Grimsby and accepted that Barnet would probably win before they all started. We have to keep winning our games, hope Akinde gets another yellow in the next two games and they trip up somewhere.

Not too bad though Grimsby dropped points. We just need to keep winning and things will take care of themselves. Roll on Monday

akinde booked. I bet he gets subbed now. Bit late for us, but you never know. and that is his 8th countable yellow card *. nerves jangling now each time he makes a challenge! * - see thread elsewhere where I thought he was already on 8 but barnet fan absolutely swears there was a [vaguely well documented] case of mis-taken identity and he was on 7 before today's game. Would be extra funny if suddenly the FA do say he is now on 9. Only 8? He got booked twice and sent off against somebody didn't he? It's so confusing which yellows count. re confusing -true! re double yellow - that's not the issue. i think we all can agree that only the first yellow of his two yellows in one game count towards the 10 yellow ban. No, the issue isthat Barnet fans swear that the stats on soccerbase, BBC and even their official website [as it is taken from PA reports] are wrong as it was wrongly reported that he got a yellow vs maccesfield earlier in the season, when it was actually given to someone else. Probably the only way of knowing for sure will be later today or maybe tomorrow when anyone can check the FA websiteand see if he is listed in the 'one caution away' stats of players who are on 9 yellows (or even 14, a southport player is close!) if he is not listed, they were right. if he is listed it will be a very interesting to see what comes out of the Barnet camp!

I know tensions are running high, but I firmly believe Merthyr deserves his marching orders.

FT Barnet 1 - 0 Nuneaton disappointing Are you tripping, would definitely have taken that, still plenty of time for Barnet to drop points and Grimsby were the form team

Happy with that. Never expected Barnet to drop any points. Grimsby dropping points is a massive boost.
Halifax or Gateshead to take points off Barnet and it's in our own hands!
Eastleigh and FGR both now outside the play offs which is good news too!
Generally a good day, roll on Monday.

Yeeeeeeessssss Nuneaton scored 1 all woooooooooooo You fecker. I just done 20 laps of the house screaming like a nutter, before coming back! Still, Barnet were nailed on to win this. They have harder fixtures now. Grimsby dropping points at home is a massive bonus, as their fixtures are easier and we need to be ahead of them.

Lets face it, if Gateshead had equalised in injury time today, we would all have been walking on sunshine.

Before the start either dropping points was good news.
Ironically I am happier with Grimsby as they were on an unbelievable roll, Barnet aren't playing that well and have three toughish games at the end, I still think we win the remaining games we go up.
