Baring in mind we could def get a semi-decent fee for him I would definitely offload him.
For the money we would get we'd probs be able to get 2 or 3 decent players at this level.

I'd rather see McCrystal and an experienced conference beast at the back with a younger, quicker option as backup. Lockyer can also do a fine job back there. If he stays then he should do well but I haven't really seen anything this season to show he is progressing as I hoped he would do. To be honest I would be surprised if a league team signed him knowing there will be plenty of players out of contract to get for free.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if he does progress after leaving us (as most do) - IMO that will largely depend on his "new employer" getting him in shape. If they can shave off some pounds (as with Saints and Sir Rickie) then I think he'll be a better player for it.

Overweight, slow, does not read the game, gets caught out of position all the time at set pieces and is easily muscled off the ball. Have I missed anything?

Caught the eye for all the wrong reasons imo. Overweight, slow, confidence shot. They can have him.

I'm far more concerned with the Smith to MK Dons rumour also flying about. Although I guess we should expect Smith to be linked with a move considering the fact that he is a rare specimen in that he is a very good player at the gas. I can actually see Smith, Parkes and Brown gone by the start of the season. Will be time to see DC earn his money when the replacements start to come in.

Take the fee and run.
Don't rate him all that much at all anymore. He's not the same player he was when he first came on loan here.

Lockyer will be a top defender imo,the only thing I could criticise him for is he's too 'nice' to be as effective as he could be playing in that position at the moment.by that I mean he will jump with an opponent for a highball, but he doesn't physically make contact and always (or nearly always)leaves the opponent a free leap because of the small space inbetween them.he'll get there, probably when he fills out a bit more, and he should have a great future in the game when you factor in his great attitude as well.we might be in for more than 1 year of conference football but TL won't. #going places
