So we're at the penultimate ratings thread of the season. I'll be taking ratings from those at the game as that has been the purpose of this thread all season. However, if you watched on TV feel free to give your opinions just let me know how you watched it.

Puddy 6 Nothing to do
Lockyer 6 A few good tackles. Wayward passing.
McCrystal 8 Solid as a rock.
Parkes 8.5 Solid as 2 rocks.
Brown 8. Great attacking play.
Gosling 7.5 A handful all afternoon.
Mansell 8 great commitment. Worked his socks off.
Lines 9.5. The best display from a Rovers player for a long time.
Monkhouse 8. Did his job brilliantly.
Blissett 7.5. Same as Gosling.
Taylor 7.5 . Set up one scored one missed 2

Puds.7.Nowt to do really but handled and kicked well.
Locks. 6.5 Works hard.Great throw-ins.Roasted for pace once or twice.Pity he can't pass.
McC. 8.Solid and reliable.Will he be mobile enough for next season when we play big teams like Accrington?
Parkes.8.Terrific
Brown.8.Brilliant.Hope we hang on to him.
Gos.6.Nice touches.Wish he got involved more.
Manse 7.Worked his sox off but gave away a silly free kick when he got booked
Lines.8.5 Class .His goal said it all.
Monk.8.Did well.
Bliss.7.5.Needed him to-day.Worked hard .Just wish he scored more often.
Taylor.9 MOM.Has grown on me after a poor start.Showed a lot of class.Made one .Scored the other.
Balanta and Clarke.Too little time to assess.
Ref.8 Fit ,kept it flowing missed an obvious foul on Taylor but Ref bashing isn't for me and thought he was excellent.
DC 9.Won me over as the season has progressed.Even had a decent hair-cut.Well done.
FGR.5. Shouldn't be playing part time teams like this,Braintree etc.

Puddy 8 - Handled well, good save despite it being offside
Lockyer 7 - Defensively excellent but poor distribution
McChrystal 8 - Solid
Parkes 8 - As above
Brown 8 - Good defensively and going forward
Gosling 7 - Decent game
Mansell 8 - Everywhere
Lines 9.5 - MOM
Monkhouse 7 - Solid, linked well again with Brown and Blissett. Won a lot in the air
Taylor 9 - Quality
Blissett 8 - Best game hes had for us that ive seen. Real handful and put a claim to start ahead of Harrison at Wembley

My own opinions about the game.
Puddy 7 Claimed what he had to, made a good save although they were offside
Lockyer 7 Not a great first half and one or two of the crowd got on his back. Made several important headers in the second though.
McChrystal 8 Involved in a physical contest all game and refused to be bullied. Marshalled the defence well and played a good offside trap when they had a free-kick in a dangerous area.
Parkes 7.5 Another like Macca who refused to be bullied by Parkin.
Brown 9 I thought Brown had a great game today. Such composure on the ball and FGR backed away from him knowing his ability. Involved in both games and let FGR have nothing from his flank.
Gosling 7 Came alive in moments but end product wasn't quite there. Needed to use his right foot more.
Mansell 8 A solid game, he always covered back when there was any danger.
Lines 9.5 It seemed that every time a Rovers player got the ball they were looking to pass to Lines.He knew exactly what tempo to set the game at and picked the right pass nearly every time. Exuded class.
Monkhouse 6.5 Fairly quiet game for Monkhouse, but as ever he had his moments and linked well with Brown.
Taylor 8 Made the first, scored the second.
Blissett 6 Never looks like he's fully in control of the ball, but capable of a few good touches and occupied the FGR centre backs.
DC 9 The team we'd all have picked but clearly some work had gone into how to handle FGR physically, especially at set-pieces. Also deserves credit for how much fitter our players looked.
Ref 6 Above average for the conference, not a great endorsement though. Let a few too many fouls go unpunished.
FGR 3 All they had were aerial balls flung into the box, which didn't trouble us too much. In the second half they tired too quickly.

Taylor 9 Just shaded Lines for MoM never stopped being a nuisance all game

DC 9.5 Have always said back him, Can we keep him next season. Higgs sort this out ASAP
Ref 8 Very good game
FGR 3 Expected a much tougher game, no fight whatsoever, very lame, no plan B.

Puddy 6.5 I could play in goal for us at the moment and I only have 1 knee!
Lockyer 7 gave the ball to Frear once and back-pedalled for 50 yards,comfortable game for him otherwise and passing was ok ish.
McChrystal 7.5 Roughed up but coped manfully.
Parkes 8 another great performance.
Brown 8 very good attacking wise and untroubled defensively
Gosling 7 Always a threat today,nice to see us dangerous down both flanks.
Mansell 7.5 excellent foil for linesy.
Lines 9.5 Absolutely superb! Best midfielder in his league by a country mile!
Monkhouse 7 Good partnership with Brown once again,always calm in possession.
Taylor 8.5 Ran the FGR defence ragged and finished a nice move well for his goal.
Blissett 7.5 Unsettled their defence so much we never missed Ellis today.
DC 9 Put out our strongest available 11 and they did the business.
Ref 6 Gave them a free kick every time one of their players hit the deck,still better than a lot of the refs we've had though.
FGR 4 expected a full on 90 or 120 minute war today,turned out to be a bit of a stroll in the park.

Puddy 7 safe hands whenever called upon
Lockyer 7 battled well all game a couple of stray passes
Mcchrystal 7.5 strong in the air all game kept fgr forwards quiet
Parkes 7.5 as per mcchrystal
Brown 8 got down the left well offered a couple of decent crosses never troubled defensively
Monkhouse 7 not a stand out performance from bob but his experience when in possession helped
Mansell 8 action man performance shielded defence well
Lines 8.5 hes one of our own! Took goal expertly and his class in midfield was clear to see
Gosling 7.5 a good attacking outlet. Unlucky with his long shot. Although slightly wasteful in possession at times
Blissett 7 didnt miss ellis was the greatest praise you could offer nathan. Kept coles & co busy all game with his constant aerial threat
Taylor 9 MOTM outstanding performance. Battled all game and did exceptionally well to create lines' s goal. Always at the centre of everything good we did going forward. Got the goal his performance deserved. Can he emulate the last Rovers No 10 at Wembley?
Olllie Clarke & Balanta not on long enough to rate. Disappointed slightly for lucas not to get on his only apperance remains the mansfield disaster.
Darryl Clarke 8 did nothing wrong from a selection or tactical pov. Praise to him for assembling this group of players
Forest Green 5 didnt feel they ever really gave it a go. Was expecting then to throw caution to the wind in second half

At the match,in the west Enclosure.
Puddy 7 Did what he had to do.
Lockyer 7 Got in some crucial blocks.
McChrystal 8 Tower of strength.
Parkes 7.5 Solid as a rock.
Brown 8.5 Best game for ages,he was a menace to FGR down that left hand side.
Gosling 7 Good in patches,needs to show a bit more composure at times.
Mansell 8 Worked so hard for the team.
Lines 9 Totally ran the show.
Monkhouse 7 Linked up well with brown.
Taylor 8,5 He has got better and better as the season has gone on.Well done matty.
Blissett 7 Worked his socks off and never gave his opponents a moments peace.Lovely dummy for the goal.
DC 9 Spot on again.
Ref 5 So So.
FGR 3 Just a team of cheats and thugs who got totally out thought and out played.

Puddy 7 averages one flap a game, commanding at all other times
Lockyer 7 defends as if his life depends on it, luckily his life doesn't depend on his distribution!
McChrystal 8 snuffed out everything in his area of the pitch
Parkes 8.5 snuffed out everything Lockyer and McChrystal didn't
Brown 8.5 FGR could not cope with our left flank all game
Gosling 7.5 was a thorn in FGRs side I thought he showed how one footed he is when clean through on his right foot, but then he put in a couple of decent crosses with the bad 'un and shinned a good chance with his good leg! Still good to see what a bit of confidence does for him.
Mansell 7.5 buzzed around the FGR midfield never giving them a moment's peace, unfortunately he never gave the ref a moment's peace either and it was inevitable he'd get booked...just surprising it was for a foul rather than overdoing the chirping
Lines 9 a magician tricking his hapless stooges for 90 minutes
Monkhouse 8 creamed them down the left and could have made the scoreline more comfortable on a couple of occasions
Blissett 7 worried their centre halves for the whole game
Taylor 8 set up the first, scored the second, ran the defence ragged, ate a lot of grass.
Balanta & Clarke managed to get their tracksuits off without any trouble but not rateable
DC 10 can't fault that - took all the anxiousness out of the day with the way he set us up
Crowd 10 loud and proud
Ref 7 annoyed me now and then...but what ref doesn't do that?!
FGR 3 did not show up ...much worse than weds
Was at match in my usual seat.

DC 10 Just about got everything right today - please repeat in 14 days time !
Ref 5 Not the worst we've seen but still made a number of poor decisions
FGR 5 Not up to much and lucky not to get whooped by 6 or 7 on aggregate
Crowd 10 Let's take this atmosphere and noise level to Wembley
At the match and just had the benefit of watching the bt sport recording after a few sherbets. We were bluddy good both times !

Lets distract ourselves from the Wembley ticket threads at the moment with the results of the penultimate ratings results of the season.
Chris Lines was Man of the Match for a third successive game, with a season high rating of 9.2.
He also looks certain to end the season with the highest average rating in the squad, barring a miracle at Wembley (Parkes gets a 10, Lines less than 2.5 or something similar).
I found it interesting that although no-one scored him a 10, eight people gave him a 9.5 rating.
Matty Taylor and Lee Brown both scored their highest ratings of the season, beating their scores at Lincoln (8.0) and Welling (8.0) respectively.
Also for the third game in a row, the starting XI average record was broken, it now stands at 7.73 after the 7.35 in the first leg.
