Chill, it's 13 days away and we have plenty of time to wind each other up! I think its good to let off steam and nobody disgraced themselves, but its back to work tomorrow until the job is done

I'm 30 and he's the best manager in my lifetime. Better than Ollie. I agree.
There is no doubting Ollie is a total Gashead but, in my opinion, he lacks man management skills. Yes, he can be motivational but that is only one aspect of management.
If he falls out with someone, that is their lot, He is loath to change his opinion, maybe for fear of admitting a mistake. Ellis Harrison would have definitely been out of the door if he had been in Ollie's charge last season. Stating the obvious, DC persevered with Ellis and has been rewarded.
After the last game of the 1996/7 season (we lost 1-2 at home to Rotherham ), the supporters' club had their annual presentation night at the Beeches ***. I was sitting outside as Ollie left. I opined that it was time for him to hang up his boots and concentrate on management. He strongly disagreed and said that I had seen what the players were like on that day and how they did not do the jobs they were supposed to, so he needed to be out there to put them right. In my opinion, a manager should be able to do that from the side lines. He lets his emotions get in the way too much.
*** Strewff! To show how long ago that was; Jamie Cureton got the Young Player of the Season award! I think I will change my user name to Fossilised Gas.

Storm in a teacup, DC is just showing he's the man of the people! If we lose at Wembley DC will get some stick for his choice of song but he's already proven he can take it on the chin for most of the season. If we win then this video will get legendary status forever and he'll become even more of a hero!
Let's face it, if Cotterill had fronted up to the Three Little Lions and fired off some inbred effort of an 82er song over a pina colada they'd be feting him as the messiah. Ditto Grimsby and their manager and local boozer/fishmonger. And we'd be saying what tools they looked. It's just human nature.
Onya DC I say, good lad.

Remember this reaction after that radio Bristol interview with 20man on 9/5/14? Sadly the interview is no longer available to listen back. I think DC's employers may have some misgivings about certain viral video doing the rounds, but you have to say he's done what he said he would do with this club. z13.invisionfree.com/Bristol_Rovers_Alt/ar/t1993.htm

I never thought we would find a manager with the same passion for the club after Ian Holloway , but DC is fast becoming a gas legend. What ever happens Sunday week ,as the song sang yesterday goes-WE GOT OUR ROVERS BACK.

What a hero DC is, how often do you see the manager leading the chants in the pub after a victory? I'd usually feel slightly nervous about his contract, but after watching that, you get the feeling that he'd happily sign whatever the club puts in front of him.

Looking back at how much things have changed in the last 12 months makes me realise how frustrated DC must have been during his time as John Ward's number two. I think that he's pretty well delivered everything he talked about in his hour long interview with Geoff Twentyman, which is some achievement given the ever decreasing budget he was working with at the start of the season.
