Just been confirmed we've been allocated the Green man. Is it a decent boozer or will it be one of those places that only have bloody strongbow as the cider option?

I spoke to the Landlady Mrs Edna Fluffer and she told me that she was very welcoming and was used to keeping people warmed up for the main action.
She was concerned about people coming a bit early so she wanted to warn Gasheads to not to be premature in their celebratory binges.

Have been there many times before England games, it has a very large garden and when they expect big crowds they put on a BBQ. It's only a five minute walk to stadium. If the weather is good then you can create a cracking atmosphere there. In my opinion it's the best pub in the area, defiantly the place to be. www.thegreenmanhotelatwembley.co.ukOut of interest, what time will they open on Sunday?

I've been there a few times for NFL games - very good venue. They put on BBQs for the NFL too - the chilli burgers / dogs were AMAZING!!! Hope they're serving them next Sunday - though I suspect they were put on mainly for the large American contingent!

Also been there a number of times. 5 mins is generous btw! It's 5 mins from intersecting Wembley way, by the by.... I am pretty certain there is no blackthorn although a semi switched on bar manager will preempt and get a range of ciders in. They should have a bbq, outdoor serving area, and it will be plastic glasses. Be aware, the security there are very good at confiscating any cans/bottles that you may have brought or purchased from one of the shops along the road!!
Gasheads. Please police yourselves whilst in the garden. It is adjacent to the road junction, Grimsby fans will most definitely come past on coaches etc giving the finger or simply singing. I have seen football simpletons react to this in a variety of ways from the green man and it has involved guilty parties missing the fixture.
Edit.....I am actually referring to the Torch ref simpletons! But the same rules apply. Apologies.

Green Man have just posted on their Twitter account that they are open at 9, will have 7 bars, BBQ and food van as well as Jeager girls! But the best bit is they are bringing in Thatchers just for us!

Looks like it's straight from Paddington at 10 the the green man then. At the risk of being called a lazy bar steward for not looking myself, is there any chance anyone would know which tube station/line is the one to get from Paddington? Cheers. UTG!

You can take the Bakerloo line to Wembly Central (about 20 mins). It is also closer to the Green Man than the Welmbly Park station.
