Darrell Clarke is looking forward to the start of pre-season training on Monday.
The manager will be putting his team through their paces, and warns them to expect the toughest pre-season of their careers so far.
Darrell said: “I am looking forward to pre-season starting.
‘It is going to be tough, the players are probably looking at one of the hardest pre-seasons they have ever had in their careers, but they are raring to go and looking forward to it.
‘I am going to be running my eye over a number of trialists as well.
“It is vital to get the fitness levels right and get the players ready to play football at a high tempo from the very start.”
And the manager has been pleased with the players brought into the club so far.
He said: “I am happy with the recruitment process so far, I am hoping to bring in another new face at the start of next week.
“It is interesting reading about all the offers I have made to players that have been rejected.
“I can confirm that there has been one official offer made that was rejected.
“I think one or two people try to use Bristol Rovers to get their wages increased elsewhere – but that is football.”

About time someone got us fit.
Football really is survival of the fittest.
Being fitter than the opposition is worth 10 points a season imo.
Provided we don't injure everyone getting them fit in the first place.....

I think it's a negative to hear that numerous players have turned us down, here you have it, it's not true according to the manager.

Yes, interesting, perhaps not so many players dislike the setup here after all. The West Country IS the place to live !

It is disheartening when you read about all the players who have supposedly turned us down. My guess is that we were turned down by Lee Gregory?

Think DC mentioned in his previous interview we had made a move for him but he chose Chester (or might have been on the OS - can't remember)
