Incidentally the club have tweeted that the article on bdonline.co.uk is wrong. I've read it and it seems quite confident (talks directly about the Secretary Of State for Culture confirming EH's ruling), so it's unusual for there to be dis/mis-information about Rovers that isn't coming out of the club itself!

Seems very odd - as you say, definitely looks legit! The cynic in me thinks that perhaps the BoD know that this is the only thing standing in the way of actually getting on with the build... and aren't keen to get on with the build!

Whilst I agree with your theory, I'm sure Government departments publish when they're ready - and it doesn't seem to be anwhere else online just yet. My money is still on a slower build (approx 18 months, the original length), starting Dec 2014...

Just been in the fruit and veg shop in the Green infested part of Gloucester Road. They have a petition about the building on the war memorial stuff they have been banging on about. Only a handful of signatures and someone has written WHAT A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS across it. Gave me a little chuckle

I have a gut feel that the build is dead in the water. My reasoning being that why would there still be contractual issues with J Sainsbury at this late stage & also the relegation that the board am refused to address. I could be wrong, of course I could, though going from "we will start in May" we now have the very flaccid " we HOPE to start sometime this year" If you look back to the 2008 interview about the Mem rebuild then you can see very tangible similarities. This is just my opinion but it is based upon years of the usual non informational sound bites. I think that relegation has holed us beneath the waterline. To think that all the time Nick Higgs spent with his eye off of the team in the attempt to leave a lasting legacy could be in vain, to think we got relegated chasing that dream..... It really does wind me up. You guys know that when I first started foruming, I was keen as mustard and I backed our board and managers. I've now done a full 180. I've never seen another bunch of so called businessmen, fail so miserably. They never should have been able to use the club as their personal toy but the happy clappers and tinters gave them the mandate to do so. It's very easy to hand out 5 year ST's to good people when it is just a promise. I feel so very sorry for the good peoe who have worked their socks off for a bunch of guys who used our club as a Masonic lodge type club. I hope to be proved wrong. All indications and the snippets of information coming out lead me to believe it is a dead Duck.

KP this could all end up as a lot more than a wind up.The UWE stadium would undoubtedly have given us our finest opportunity ever to establish and sustain a much higher level of football, instead our very existence as a football club might even be under threat now or very soon. That would be a typical Rovers scenario and the silence from the club is making me more anxious by the day!

KP, for every "rose tinter" backing the BOD there is a "sh8t tinter" stabbing the BOD in the back ! We have had constants when all this has gone wrong, that is the BOD and the little gang who have done nothing but snipe from the lines, TWO constants !

KP, the club as a whole have made terrible mistakes, I guess what I am saying ( all be it badly ) is we all have made huge mistakes the BOD, me and I suppose most of us, we have allowed the club to slide very slowly and sometimes very fast into a mess, just look at the 'Blue Father christmas ' what a bloody joke, but.........I am guessing the people who decided to do it thought it was a good idea, maybe if we all as a group had a better idea we should have stepped in. One thing I know for sure..........We have the people to put this right, some on the BOD but most of all the Blue army......the Gas heads, we are the answer and we must stand as one to put it right ! UTG.

BishopstonBRFC- which fruit & veg shop was it. I'll make sure I never go in there again!
Since the TRASH campaign started I've refused to even go in the likes of Romantica, Sharps, and that bread shop opposite the Prominade that I used to like.
Remember - 'Bristol's not trash' these arseholes tried to kill our football club, and I for one will never forget. An I'm going to make a point of shopping in the new Sainsbury's when its open.
They even had the gall to rub salt in our wounds on the last day of the season, with the pathetic 'open day' with stalls outside their shops (including one for the bloody Green Party - damn lucky some of our less restrained fans didn't turn it over!).

I am with you on that, I know the BOD have messed up but I am 100% sure if Trash had not started all that tripe we would still be a league team. I hate the Greens with a passion.

UTG. The problem is that this current board will not allow or accept the help that is so evidently available. They have said that they want to get away from the volunteers because it makes us look unprofessional I know of many who have been there to help with the covers and to fork the pitch who have been treated like something you just picked off of your shoes. There is just no real connection between us and them now. The only time we even get a mention is the usual clarion call to get behind the team, I find that very patronising as it's really been a given that we have turned up in numbers DESPITE the rubbish served up

I love the unprofessional bit ! KP, we are bigger than this, infact we are bigger than the BOD, we will prevail, if they like it or not...... We must go forward with the old Tote End attitude, we will shout, fight, sing and most of all we will keep our sense of humour, because by God we need the last bit !
