Put it this way - I don't think Taylor will be the worst player we've ever had in Lg 2.

He could'nt cut it in the conference!! Nope, only scored 22 goals, scored in both play off semi finals. Very rarely had a bad game but yes he "couldn't cut it in the conference!"

He could'nt cut it in the conference!! Think you do need to explain how a player how could score 22 goals in the Conference couldn't cut it? Taylor's weakness is that he misses too many chances but to say he couldn't cut it doesn't make sense. We have too reasonable quality strikers in Taylor & Easter why don't we just support them, as I doubt eithers leaving us anytime soon.

I still believe in him despite the bandwagon of supporters on his back. Taylor is f**kin sh** ok! and he's f**kin brilliant!

He's in the Shane Long mould: tucks the odd one away clinically but the rest go feebly into the goalie's arms or past the post. There's a similar Irish player out there too but I can't remember his name. They get enough goals per season to warrant a place in the squad but are hardly crowd pleasers, more like crowd sigh generators.

A decent striker could have nearly doubled that tally with the chances he had and some of them were golden

Taylors problem is in his head,he doesn't think quickly enough when he has the chance to score and by the time his brain catches up he has missed it.I think he needs a few sessions with Penrice to sort him out.The difference between him and Harrison is Ellis shoots first then thinks about it and thus gets more shots in thus more goals.Ellis is a natural whereas Taylor is not

I believe he can, but he needs to stay on his feet and be stronger at times, it was evident on Sunday that the ref just ignored his pleas for fouls as he goes down too easily Where was he playing Sunday? The downs? Did he manage to score?

Taylor absolutely is a League Two player. We need to get over the fact he isn't going to bang 20-30 and just let him be a better version of Beardsley.

Taylor's worse misses are when he gets chance to think, although if you watch the Northampton highlights it's his first touch which let's him down, as the ball gets too far ahead of him meaning the chance to shoot first time has gone. Even EH missed what looked like a reasonable chance against Northampton plus you can probably count his assists last season on one hand.

My dearly departed Nan is a better version of Beardsley. I think we've already made the mistake of having strikers we don't expect to score goals haven't we? The season ended with a pitch invasion for all the wrong reasons as I recall. Like I said before - I don't think Taylor is going to be the worst player we've had in League 2.

Beardsley played regularly as a striker for a team that got into the League Two play offs last season. He was the completely wrong player for us at the time, but he is still useful.
