Brilliant. But they wouldn't do it to a prem team would they!
Was about to post that picture myself on the other thread but haven't mastered photo upload yet.....

"making their way to the first destination!!"
Isn't the clue in the tweet? I assume Chelsea's bus must have started off from somewhere similarly quiet?

So anyone know the PR **** who posted it? 1 taylor 1 cup was less offensive. To be fair, I'm sure that they were just trying to be helpful, by informing the waiting fans that the players had started their journey. I mean, no other clubs are interested in us, so the picture was never going to be brought to the attention of the national media was it?

And they've U-turned. Fair play to him really. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/worst-ever-start-open-top-5759258OK, hands up. We'll admit it. We MIGHT have jumped the gun. HOWEVER - as many proud Rovers fans have pointed out, that is pretty much what ANY open top bus looks like… on the way to the start of a parade. A fair point, well made. As many of you have pointed out, loads of supporters lined the streets a bit later on and to their credit, they look very happy. And why not? Rovers have returned to the Football League at the first time of asking.

Credit where it's due. the Mirror have published an apology and said they jumped the gun yesterday and given Rovers a very positive write up today.

A few lads from my old club celebrated a league title once by driving down Thornbury high street with a couple of them stood up through the sun roof with the trophy.
Does that count?

Apparently there is this thing in life called restraint.
It isn't often used these days, especially by dung journalists, and I can freely admit I am also human and may sometimes forget to use it , but someone showing a lack of restraint isn't an excuse to have a pop at someone who, in all good faith, was TRYING to do something positive.
The club were trying to be keep fans informed. The bus was late, so it might have actually been useful info to many, especially who find it hard to wait around a long time.
Don't shoot the messenger and all that.
This is 1OO% the responsibility of the Mirror, Indy, metro, whoever. They consciously decided to print lies.
Please don't blame our own club for this.

ALl [sic] the glory hunters were at Wembley." twitter account of Independent football section - twitter.com/IndyFootball

It only came to the national media's attention after all the City fans saw it and started taking the water. That should have been considered.
