I think DC's "revised" budget at the start of last season was less than £900k.

I was told it was 750,000 prior to Easter, Blissett and Lines so I agree with Severncider.

One says playing budget, the other says wage bill. Does that make any difference? I don't know but could they be different things? Also, why would tufc reps be talking about our figures with any accuracy?

I think DC likes to say this just to make it sound like he did it against all the odds, nothing like a bit of drama!

It wouldn't be the first time Torquay have chatted utter sh** to the press, and it won't be the last.

Just Torquay making excuses, how the hell would they know how much we pay anyone ?

I think you'll find that our budget was reduced to £750,000 prior to kicking off the season.

Their chairman chatting absolutely rubbish! Yes we undoubtedly had a higher budget than them, but only by about 200k-300k. £2million hahahahahahaha He's simply trying to make excuses for a poor budget. Finishing just 13th with the big budget they had must be embarrassing for them...

I would say ask Toni Watola but he probably wouldn't know!

Assuming the likes of Mildenhall, McChrystal, Parkes & Brown must have been on £50k/£75k p.a. then £750K as an overall budget seems very low as those 4 must be on £200k/£300K alone. I doubt Mansell & Monkhouse were poorly paid either?

Sound like they're deliberately preparing the ground for years of mid-table mediocrity.

Sound like they're deliberately preparing the ground for years of mid-table mediocrity. They've had a great first season

Before you ask, DC indicated their wages at an open forum, he should not have and I will not.

I read here that Sinclair was on about 5-600 a week I presume Taylor is on a similar deal . On the other hand we paid Chris lines' wages in full wile he was here . I don't know what that figure was but probably about 5 or 6 stuart Sinclairs .

What utter BS, that would imply that our budget went UP since 2013-14 despite the budget being cut in half!
Maybe the Torquay chairman should point out Macclesfield's budget for last season, as they did a hell of a lot better than Torquay did on a similar, if not lower budget.

I think DC's "revised" budget at the start of last season was less than £900k. That's what I thought too. I read or saw somewhere it was around the £1M area.
