Another thought, what about a mega phone/using the PA System like they do on the continent? I know our current PA system is shocking (I literally picture that safety announcement guy sat in the grotto making those announcements it sounds so bad!) or someone who dictates the chants, faces the crowd etc to get everyone going. You can eff right off with that! Looks ridiculous its like being at a butlins singalong Generates atmosphere though doesn't it? What are your suggestions bright spark?

The "fish" song from Grimsby sounded quality. Doubt we could do it because we seem to speed everything up x10000 but could sound decent with "Gas"

This thread appears twice a season. There won't be any new chants unless a dedicated group of people get together and work on starting them. Occasionally there is a chemistry whereby someone will shout something and it spreads but not often, and that's rarely a song.
The last time anyone done this properly was fanboy and his mob, but it didn't take long for the terrace pussies to start moaning about one thing or another. After that we were back to speed singing and GI 16 times a match.

You'd think we could manage a chorus of Glad All Over. Piece of water to do, good song, would sound good, everyone knows it, etc.

All the oldies will probably remember the old war cry of "'Ello, 'Ello, Tote End Aggro, Tote End Aggro . . ." to the tune of "Hello, Hello, I'm back again" by Gary Glitter - put a shiver down the spine of many a league club in it's day!
True story. As a boy I had a Gary Glitter poster on my wall [no idea why, I don;t remember being particularly interested]. Him dressed in bacofoil, on a huge silver chopper [stop sniggering at the back!]. I swear his eyes followed me all the way around the room, especially when changing my clothes. Certainly sends a shiver down my spine. I think I need therapy. You still have that poster on your wall don't you! I think you have problems.

A few beers, build that trust that required to go for that 3rd verse knowing your men will back you if the rest go quiet! The tricky thing is...the atmosphere is ok when we are doing well or playing comfortably. It is during the spells of sh1tness or whilst losing that songs are needed, naturally people are less inclined to join in.

This place is only a half hour walk from the Ray Mac.

Probably. Il do the local friendlies but I don't get to go to as many games through the season. Maybe half. This needs 5-10 regulars, in the same spot, to build momentum. It can happen easy enough.

Sorry that should probably be in the sick jokes section. Don't apologise. The service revolver is loaded and you'll find it next to the bottle of Whisky on the bar. You know what you need to do. Toodle pip.

You can eff right off with that! Looks ridiculous its like being at a butlins singalong Generates atmosphere though doesn't it? What are your suggestions bright spark? What you need is everyone who's going to sing grouped together, which we do have kind of with the blackthorn end but even in there most people just wont join in for whatever reason, unless you have a group of 10-20 people with you who you know will join when you start off a song you get looked at like your a fecking lunatic. Everyone pays for a ticket and is entitled to watch football however they want... but if you want to watch football quietly why stand in the middle of the blackthorn end! Simple fact is we just don't have enough people in one place who want to sing and jump around and make an atmosphere, same at most clubs, fans getting older, prices going up etc etc.

Clarke, Clarke, wherever you may be, He took the Gas to Wembley. When Mansell scored he ran 40 yards Print that Grimsby Town bast ards! Like the idea but end is a bit difficult to get your tongue around, and anyway I'm not singing bastards. sadly songs seem to need to be VERY simple these days to catch on. I'll tell you one thing, we really need to start next season with some more songs/support of our manager and players from this season [assuming most are still here next season]!! although we obviously got promoted, it was such hard work except for a few games near the end of the season, and I always felt we NEVER relaxed much and got some songs flowing. People like Brown and Parkes have proved themselves timeand again, and stayed loyal, and really deserve songs for them. I remember that we hardly even managed 'Darrell Clarke's B&W/Barmy Army' or 'Darrell, darrell, give us a wave'. It's little things like that that make someone feel at home at a club, and a little bit special. I have to agree, we should be singing about the players, specific songs for each player, we do hear it a little but not enough. The Chris Lines song, Ellis, Matty but we need more, Mansell, the beard, any of our back four. I have one for balanta but it doesn't seem quite true at the mo, if he gets going maybe.
