Agreed it was a great (long) weekend. Well organised by John & Stewart and their dedication to keeping the "tour office" open in the bar of the Drunken Duck for most of Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning was admirable. It was a great feeling trying to find the ground (we made our own way there) and before we could see it, we could hear "Irene Goodnight" loud and proud. The fans were great in the 5 bars right outside the ground, (from both teams). Good game with a last minute equaliser for Osasuna which kept them up and sparked a pitch invasion from them to celebrate. I think they had about 2,000 at the match. I would definately recommend a trip over to see them at anytime. You could stay anywhere on the Costa Brava that has a train station on the coast. Sabadell is a 40 minute train ride from the centre of Barcelona. You will receive a great reception from all the Sabadell fans. The relationship between the two clubs can only grow and grow. Most of the fans we spoke to intend to go to Bristol next season to watch a Rovers match.
If anyone wants any info' (I have only been there once though) about it let me know.

It was an amazing weekend, expertly organised by john Kayes. I had a great time although I couldn't keep up with the drinking that some of the guys were doing Unbelieveable amounts of larger drunk. I think we drunk 2 of the stadium bars dry of draught and bottled beers It was indeed an amazing weekend was good to meet you Parrot. I must be one of those you couldn't keep up with and yes we did drink 2 bars dry, awesome effort by the lads out there Sabadell fans were brilliant and the personalised ticket quality There will be another visit in some shape next year so maybe those that missed it this year will be able to join us.

Hope the bloke doing the monkey chants at the black Osasuna player after the goal wasn't a Gashead.

Why does the club not arrange a pre season friendly with them each year one year at home next year away

The standard of the play and players were very good, all would play at championship / league 1 over here. That said, it will be different following relegation.
The talk I heard is that Sabadell will be inviting Rovers over for a friendly and will give rovers use of training facilities and also arrange a further game against another team to make trip worthwhile.

Looked like a great trip, sorry I missed it, went a few years ago, they treated us so well, hope w E can arrange a regular friendly with them in the future. Was great to see such a good write up on the official Football League site, 'The Blue and White Brothers' gave me a little shiver.

Probably get show down by people doing this but...
They are organising another one going away on the 15th April and for Sabadell's match on the 17th and coming back the 18th. My problem with this is we have a match at home against Yeovil on the Saturday 16th where we could potentially be playing for something. Would be crazy for a load of gasheads to be in Spain for a match that let's face it doesn't really mean anything when we could have a big game here. Not only that but it is taking money from the club as potential ticket sales will be lost with people being abroad and season ticket holders who go on the trip will more than likely give their tickets for someone else to borrow.
I'm all for something like this but not at the expense of the reason this trip is being arranged for in the first place: Our love of Bristol Rovers.

The reason it's been arranged for those dates is because due to the Euro 16 in France, all Spanish league games finish earlier this season. The last league game for both clubs is on the same weekend.
So not to let the good work done so far dwindle, another date was looked at and this was it. Unfortunately unavoidable with a Rovers game.
Deposits are being taken now and it's an individual choice about missing a game which may be a big game, but just as easily be a mid table nothing match as unable to claim either way at the moment.

Could it not at least have been arranged for when we had an away game so it had no detrimental effect to our club? I just think it seems poor organisation and a bit crazy, so I'm out.

That's a shame having it clash as I was looking forward to coming along this time. I won't be putting another team infront of the Rovers though whoever it is so I'll be staying in Bristol.
