Very enjoyable evening. Great that we have some very promising youngsters yet again.
Broom wasn't afraid to push himself around a bit although the ref did have to have a word once or twice....
Bodin took his goals well (a header from a Broom cross, the lifted it over the keeper from inside the area and a shot from the edge of the box)he also showed a good touch.

Billy Bodin. Son of Paul who played a lot of games for Swindon. I think he's 24 but has had a big injury and is trying to get his career back on track. On trial with us. Had a good laugh when Mildy turned to us and said he's so old he played with Bodin's dad.

I do like the way DC is going about the friendlies by basically having two seperate squads and giving people a lot of minute rather than wholesale changes in every game, think I'm gonna pop up Mangadoo tomorrow now. Agree with this. The lads will be up and running with numerous 90 minute games played. The norm is for 45 minutes here and there with a full game or 2 towards the end of preseason. This way they are gelling! Getting match fit and with the results so far, building/continuing the winning mentality.(even if it's against lesser opposition. We are known to have a tough time against these teams in preseason normally)
