Possibly the simplest Gaschat poll ever...
Will Billy Bodin be offered a contract at Rovers?
Yes
or
No
No ifs, buts, or maybes
How others have voted will be revealed AFTER you vote.

I think he will offer him something, whether I really want us to I don't know, only saw him briefly last night so don't really have an opinion tbh, and will it be a good enough offer for him to accept? Time will answer all

I think he's worth a punt, has shown some ability in the few games he's played.

I think we will offer him a contract. I'm just not 100% sure he is the right player to be offering a contract too though.

Yes. Thought he had promise yesterday. I see what Manse meant. If coached right we can get his best.

No vote from me. Don't feel I am in a fair enough place to judge as I only seen one half of him against Arsenal and he was playing up the other end that game. Sounds like he has looked encouraging in other games. So it's a no vote from me.

Thought he looked very lively against Arsenal, didn't really have enough time against Reading, apparently he was good against Cirencester!!!
I would offer him a deal

At Salisbury he started wide left but got switched to wide right with Monty several times. I thought he looked more comfortable when played wide right and contributed more but other players made more of an impression.
At Cirencester he played as a striker alongside Lucas, He was marked by an overweight donkey that gave him plenty of room. He took his goals well and showed a good touch but the opposition must be accounted for
Against the Arse he again played as a striker with Ellis for company for the first half and Matty for 15mins in the second. Here he was closed down much quicker by the fit young defenders and had very little room to shine but again showed a good touch once or twice but I felt we looked better up front when Matty was paired with Ellis
Last night against Reading he came on for the impressive Monty and was played wide left again and apart from a couple of slick interchanges with Greenslade all he did was convince me that wide left is not his natural position.
He appears to have a good attitude and looks to be trying hard to earn a contract and I think he does have a bit of quality BUT if we are only to make 1 more permanent signing I'm not sure I would want him to be it..... DC may see it differently

Provided the offer doesn't eat up too much of the budget that the odd loan or two cannot be brought in, then based on what I have read then he is worth a punt.

I think whatever happens he will be offered something. Even if it is a small amount.

Didn't do enough last night....a few nice touches. Looks like a taller Bradley Goldberg. Perhaps a 6 month contract....no more.

Yeah, why not. 3 wingers on trial, 1 remains.

Yeah, why not.Has 3 wingers on trial, 1 remains. Has Ayala been "released" so to speak then? I did assume that was the case as hadn't heard much about him over the last week, but must have missed that?

Time will answer all That's sort of how I feel. after being here so long I get a strong feeling DC may offer him something, but not necessarily what BB would prefer. Might only be short-term, lowish wages.

Think there will be/ is a contract offer on the table for Bodin whether he accepts that or not is a different matter. From what I've seen can't say I'd be too bothered either way, but at the same time trust Darrell Clarke to get it right.
