Phil Smith successfully appeals against suspension Agent Phil Smith has successfully appealed the decision of the Commission By FA Staff 11 Jul 2014 Football agent Phil Smith has successfully appealed an Independent Regulatory Commission decision. In May, Smith had his agent’s licence suspended with immediate effect for two years, 18 months of which was suspended for two years. However, an Appeal Board has now upheld Smith’s appeal against the decision and has varied it as follows: Smith is to have his Agent’s Licence suspended with effect from 20 May 2014 – the date of the original decision – for a period of two years. Seven weeks of this period will be imposed to have immediate effect (from 20 May 2014) with the remainder of the two year suspension suspended for a period of two years. The suspended element of this sanction will be invoked in full upon a proven breach of The FA football agent regulations during that period. The Appeal Board have also ordered that a financial penalty of £15,000 be imposed on Mr. Smith and that he be warned as to his future conduct as an agent. He is still guilty, they have just reduced his suspension from 6 months to 7 weeks. So it's just the punishment that has been eased a little rather than the guilty verdict.
It's all been very quiet regarding the Wycombe enquiry, has any one heard anything?

I would guess the decision makers have not quite got back from Brazil. Wycombe might not come out of this smelling like roses ... but I can't really see us getting anything out of this.

Ganymede, I am sure we will not get anything from this, I do hope wycombe get a roasting, I would like to see those smug grins replaced with tears, I have never felt any joy from a club going bust but I would laugh for hours if/when Wycombe do. Living in hope.

Living in hope. They did not help themselves with the crap that was allowed to go on there. I feel for the fans but not those that run it. They have managed to Blag it so far. I would hope that they do get punishment suitable to how they have conducted themselves
