I thought those ITK had suggested Bliss had turned down a move to the Mariners? Seems more logic in that suggestion given that he can't even make our bench at the moment and we're hardly rolling in money to turn down money for a squad player?

He's worked hard for the team to come out of the conference no way is he going to go back into it at the first offer.

Can't see Blissett getting much - if any - game time for Rovers.
Think it would be better for him and us if he moves on.

I'd rather have two lads working there bollocks off trying to get a start than two loan players sat on the bench with no support for the lads on the pitch.

The problem with that is, Clarke wants to strengthen the squad - which he's said numerous times recently and again after Tuesdays game - and unless we get Blissett and Mildenhall off the wage bill, he might not be able to do so. I'm not questioning their attitude or desire to play, I just don't think they're good enough and believe Clarke would be able to sign better if we moved them on.

He did on both occasions he was asked and that from a former rovers favourite

Think he looks a better player than when Akinde was with us, just think he needs game time, a different option, just needs time to develop, we don't use his strengths, he looked unplayable for Kiddie against us.

I would be amazed if getting rid of Blissett, who surely is not on big bucks will allow us to bring others in is frankly laughable in my opinion. Our Manager has mentioned the need to strengthen and bring in at least another three players, but he has certainly not mentioned the need to get rid of others in able to do so. If he has, please point me to the article or interview where he stated that?

Along with Mildenhall, striker Nathan Blissett is another player that is struggling to force his way into the first-team reckoning and has recently been linked with a move to Grimsby Town.

He's not improving at the same rate that the team is improving. He'll never be League 1 quality in my opinion, and we're pushing towards that goal, so it's a case of us outgrowing him. He was solid enough for us in the conference but there's better big men out there.

Bliss gave up his job working for British Gas and moved to Bristol when joining us so I can't see he's not earning a reasonable wage? I also can't see NH/TW allowing DC to bring in another striker when he's already got Bliss in the squad, as was the case with Brunt last season.

Similar to tubbs when he was at Bournemouth , although love blissett's attitude=I'm going to knuckle down and try my best, can't fail to like the guy

If we come up against a team who push us back like Northampton did and we react to that by hoofing the nball then we will need a player like Bliss to come on and give us something different. He is very good at splitting two central defenders with his willing running. There is a time and place for him in the same way that Montano will get his chance and hopefully we will see something of Monakana because they both,I think, have something to offer.

The local rag using poetic licence I would suggest and definately not what our Manager has said. Not the first and not the last time this excuse for a newspaper has used reading betwen the lines journalism to create a story when one does' not exist. Along with Mildenhall, striker Nathan Blissett is another player that is struggling to force his way into the first-team reckoning and has recently been linked with a move to Grimsby Town.

Hopefully will free up a bit of money for a signing of our own. Good luck to him.
