Unless you are talking large millions this is not going to happen.
Re the SC directors (and well known personalities) didn't the likes of Les Fry, Roger Cooper, Kim Stuckey, Hazel Potter, John Malitski, David Brain, BBS, Tim Blake, Colin Williams etc, etc all try and get their point across?.
I believe the old Gas Trust made comments about boycotting the games expecially after the Turl plan was turned down (again cos he was way short of the money he needed to follow his plan) and that achieved next to zero apart from causing more anger and resentment and meaning even less money for the club.
If anyone wants change I belive it will have to be gradual. The first step would be to join the SC, try to get elected to the committee and make small strides improving the clubs fortunes and that of the fans "match day experience". ie get the improvements done and noticed.
The FFS is an example of how the Board can take notice. Barry famously made the "internet warriors" comment when nearly all the Board were receiving over the top criticism on forums by people hiding behind psyedenoums. Due to the sponsorship and good suggestions by the FFS, he even made a point of thanking the forum at the last SC AGM.
We are extremely lucky with Mr Clarke so we need to show our support but it is up to us. The Board recognise the SC but I am sure they do not like the straight talking they have got over the years from those listed above. Who knows what they would have achived with more patience and less friction (and less face it after Ollie left pretty awful football)
It is true, the SC and BoD need to evolve to be receptive of good ideas and fast paced way media is and the interest in the club this could bring. The first step is to get some young forward thinking people with hours to spare each week, on the SC committee. Also hold any meetings at the Mem so the club gets the revenue. As the Welly makes the profits from Rovers fans with no investment in the club (not going to mention alledged political donations!) this automaticaly alienates the Board.
Fist step is to attend the SC AGM in October. Get your thinking caps on about what questions you want answered and make sure that the Board promise to deliver, rather than a behing the scenes investigation that the fans will never hear about. But remember patience!!
