Chapman - 8 MOM kept the score respectable
Lyttle - 3 unfortunate debut but was often left 2 on 1 Parkes 6 poor defensively for second goal that killed the game Lockyer 7 did nothing wrong J clarke 6 solid enough Brown 6 did nothing going forward but was solid at the back
Sinclair 7 energiser bunny who was often left isolated Lines 4 apart from a break in the first 5 mins that was it. Should have come off at half time. Poor and gave Lyttle no support defensively O Clarke 7 was probably as bemused as most of us to be subbed at half time
Easter 5 had to feed of scraps Harrison 6 for his first half display alone but got no service
Subs all get 6 for at least putting in a shift
Fans 9. Don't know who the dickhead with the beard is who starts most of the songs but you aren't funny and in fact a bit of a tool
DC - 5 got a lot of things wrong today Orient 7 - did what they had to to do but feel we made life easy for them in midfield
Ref 4. - seen better

Chapman 5.5
Lyttle 3 J. Clarke 4.5 Lockyer 5 Parkes 4.5 Brown 5
Sinclair 4.5 O. Clarke 4 Lines 6
Harrison 5.5 Easter 5
Subs: Montano 6 Monakana 4.5 Taylor 5
Crowd 7 Ref 3 Leyton Orient 8
Lyttle made two errors, both punished. Played okay otherwise. It is harsh as other players made errors that were not punished in the same way. A harsh "welcome" to pro football. Leyton Orient were the better side. A very good team at this level. Referee poor but actually got the penalty spot on. Lines did okay I thought. Sinclair exposed for having little quality on the ball at times. Ollie Clarke seemed to be back to the 13/14 Clarke, rather than the brilliant performances so far this season.
Crap home crowd. One of those where there are so few making any noise that individuals actually stand out in the home end. water poor support but a lot of money spent...
Not many sides will take much away from Orient this season. Not a great day at the office but not the worst. On to the next one.

Chapman 8 made 4 very good saves in a game that tested him for the first time
Lyttle 5 Very harsh decision for the pen and outnumbered for most of the first half which resulted him in losing the ball for the second. It was right to sub him but this was more to do with the formation change J. Clarke 7 missed a sitter but did his proper job well Lockyer 7.5 my MOM Parkes 7 on his arse for the 2nd goal Brown 6 not involved much as an attacking threat as he has been, crosses were poor today
Sinclair 6 worked hard as usual O. Clarke 6 way off his performance from last week Lines 7 dead balls still his weekness
Harrison 5 was his mind on his trip next week? Easter 6 slightly better than Ellis wonder when he will last 90mins
Subs: Montano 6 a couple of decent runs but no end product Monakana 5 1 decent run but no end product Taylor 5 didn't get the luck the Oreint strikers got in winning the decisions
Crowd 9 Gasheads in great voice and a good number some good banter with the O's fans Ref 3 very unpredictable, soft decision for the pen Leyton Orient 8 will be promoted this season

Chapman 7 made some decent saves in first game he has been tested in Lyttle 4 promising - harsh penalty but lost the ball a few times including 2nd goal J. Clarke 7.5 good defender MOM Lockyer 6 looks like a league player now he is in his best position Parkes 6 consistant and reliable Brown 7 looks like a wing back this season as well as full back Sinclair 5 did a lot of running as usual but not much else O. Clarke 5 never really got involved Lines 7 good player did OK Harrison 5 looks disinterested and slow to react sometimes Easter 6 not 100% fit , poor service Subs: Montano 6 tried to make something happen Monakana 4 showed nothing Taylor 5 high on effort low on quality Crowd home crowd poor ; good away support Ref 6 Leyton Orient 7 deserved the win , professional [diving, time wasting,]

DC 5. I love what he is doing for our club but I feel he got it wrong today, I lappriciate that he has the courage to put the young lads in, I was really pleased to see so many academy graduates in but I said before the game (actually immedately after last weeks game), with the Leadbetter injury and the players available he should revert to a 4-4-2 with JC or TL a right back, if he really didnt want to break up the 3 centrehalves he should have started Sinclair as right wing back. Before anybody screams I agree Sinclair loses something when wide but needs must, he has the energy to do it, did it against Barnet and at least has some FL experience which is helpful away against top of the league.
In respect to the young ones, we dont have a regular U21 team so if they are not on loan they get little game time, I would love to see them in the team but they need to be bleed gently, I know, due to Mansell's injury, Malpas was on bench for 3 of the first 4 games, this experience helps them to get use to the pressure, young Lyttle hasnt even had that prior experience. Ideally young lads need bench time, then a few 15-20 minutes in suitable games at suitable times, if they are to get thrown in it should be against weaker teams.
I do hope people recognise Lyttle needs our support, from what I saw in pre-season he looks a good 'prospect', yesterday will have damaged his confidence, he is a Bristol Rovers player and we should all support him.

Chapman 7 was worried we might have to extend his loan without seeing what he was like under pressure but this game stretched him and he came through it well Lyttle 4 not the worst debut ever, but not the best either, there will be a few moments replaying in his mind that he will have wished went differently. Needs an early opportunity to put them right and move on. Clarke J. 6 had a glorious chance to make it 2-1 and blew it. Was competent defensively apart from one collision with TL that was definitely his fault, good to see young Tom give him a rollicking for it! Otherwise I'd have to say DC has chosen wisely with this lad. Lockyer 8 nothing fazes him, elbow in th chops, pacey strikers like this week or beefy ones like last - he fronts up to them all and shows he belongs in this company. He won't play another non league game till his late thirties!! Parked 6.5 stepped in and got things moving forward a couple of times, cleaned up at the back most of the time but for the second goal he curiously seemed to panic, went to ground too easily and quickly, made up the Orient strikers mind for him and he did not need a second invitation. Brown 6 had a very good chance early in the second half but delayed his shot otherwise a decent if unspectacular game from him. Lines 8 am always going to see a different game to JB, for me he did exactly what I expect our attacking midfielder to do, pulled the strings and was involved in some flowing football in the first half particularly ( when he was more comfortable with the formation), couple of decent corners from him too..although he relinquished those duties when the M&Ms came on. Sinclair 6 not his best game but he still tired the life out of his opposite numbers, it is no surprise that his pressurising causes opposing midfielders to get booked Clarke 7 was a victim of the half time shake up ( which to my mind made us less effective) when in all honesty he'd been doing his job well. Can understand why it was him though...you need to keep your attacking threat and you need your inexhaustible legs on the pitch..so you sacrifice your ball winning tiger and mopper-upper - harsh. Easter 6 one of those days when you open a locked door to find another one in your way. Occupied his defenders without really threatening to break the shackles Harrison 6 had his moments, blazed over his best chance but well marshalled most of the game.
Subs Montano. 4, Monakana 4 both brought on to change the game and did so by being ineffective and reducing us to a team of nine men. Expected more from these guys. Taylor 6 shocking pass to start but having got that out of his system went on to have a decent impact working the gaps between their midfield and defence.
Orient 8 created better opportunities and were generally better on the ball, their defenders were luckier than ours! Crowd 9 Ref 3 odd!

Hey proper job lyttle gave away the pen not Clarke lol Yep dumb typo, corrected it now makes no difference to my ratings ... Maybe I was too generous with JC? Was a sitter, maybe TP as well but it was a classy finish for the 2nd goal particular when watched on Gas TV ... #cmon me BABBERS!

Another good response to this thread this week with 9 sets of ratings. Last year, only FGR got more responses for an away game.
Aaron Chapman was the Man of the Match this week, just edging out Tom Lockyer.
Not much else to comment on this week, but as always I appreciate everyone who takes the time to post their opinion.
