Nichols 6.5 Not a lot to do, one good stop, decent distribution. Clarke 7 Tried hard but better played in a back three. Lockyer 7 Usual steady game. Parkes 4 Poor all round game and his extra "striker" training one to one with Marcus and has clearly not worked, Could not hit a barn door if it was three feet away! Brown 7 Far better in the second half when the system allowed him to get forward easier. Sinclair 7.5 Usual all action display but once again no end result Clarke 5 Saw nothing to convince me he is a football league standard midfielder. Mansell 5 still not convinced he is fit, way off the pace and was another Matt Gill today down to a tee.
Lines 7 Tried his hardest but let down by the lack of decent movement by Harrison and Taylor. Harrison 3 Won a few headers when accurately picked out by Nichols. Other than that very poor. Still following on from his previous season in the football league, completely naive and easily dealt with by big central defenders. Taylor 3. Abysmal, runs around a lot, falls over at the slightest challenge, definately not a league standard player.Persist with him DC and will really will be in the mire.
Gosling 3 What did he do? Easter 4 Tried but is definately on a dayward spiral in his career due to his lack of pace. Bodin 7 Another excellent cameo appearance apart from his error at the very end.
Ref 6 Far better standard than some we have seen this season Crowd 3What can you expect when served up with absolute crap. DC 1 .. Stick to one system, made to look a fool by Stanleys management who managed our change of formation so easily. Stanley 7. No standout individuals but genuine hard working professionals who know all the tricks of the trade unlike our naive performers. Thoroughly deserved all three points.

Nicholls.6.Rarely tested. J Clarke 7 Lockyer 7 Parks.5 Brown6 O Clarke 5 Mansell.Conference player 3. Lines.Only real quality on view for us 7.5 (MOTM) Sinclair 7.5.Made up for limited ability with 100% effort.Played up front first half and right wing second half?? Harrison.Nearly lost his cool.Conference standard display.3 Taylor. Not good enough for the football league. No presence up front to worry defenders.Falls over when there's any sort of challenge.3
Subs.Bodin 6.Looked good but lost possession late on when the visitors will wonder how they didn't make it 2-0 Gosling.5Nice touches but too deep and too slow. Easter5.A late one on one with their Goalie saw him chicken out of any challenge at all.Something not right. REF.7 Accrington 6.(why was their keeper 10 minutes late taking the field for the second half?)

Nicholls 6 very little to do, communication seemed a little off at times but I guess he is just getting to know his teammates J Clarke 6 steady but not up to early season form and didnt look as confortable on the right and got exposed s couple of times Lockyer 7 my MOTM pick from a poor performance Parkes 5 sloppy today Brown 6.5 better as the game went on Mansell 5 off the pace O Clarke 5 early season form deserted him today, back to the Ollie of the last few years who occasionally breaks up play but limited quality and gives the ball away too easily Lines 6.5 tried hard to get things going but a complete lack of movement up front made life difficult for him today Sinclair 6 tried hard but didnt appear to have his usual energy levels, I do usually love his endeavour but he lacks quality with product. MOTM AGAIN ........... really!!!! Harrison 4 poor today and didnt look interested Taylor 4 again poor and needs to stay on his feet
Easter 5 limited impact Gosling 5 no impact Bodin 6 the more I see the more I think he deserves a chance
Ref 5 missed a fair bit & I actually thought he was very average DC 4 cant argue too much with starting 11 given whats available but the formation wasnt quite right today and too many players had an off day
Stanley 7 efficient, organised and effective

Nicholls 6 Must be wondering if Parkes is colour blind,
J. Clarke 5.5 Not up to his usual standard Lockyer 7 MoM Parkes 4 Did not have a good game, his passing was abysmal and rarely found a blue and white shirt, Brown 5 Defended ok but some of his crosses were off the mark
O. Clarke 4 Not good enough, slipping back to his usual performances after showing some promise a few games ago Mansell 4 Did not play well and nowhere near the standard he has produced Lines 6 Tried to get things going but it was made difficult by team mates devoid of any ideal or movement Sinclair 6 Full of running as usual, without getting anywhere
Harrison 3 Useless, moans a better game to officials and opponents, than actually producing anything worthwhile,
Taylor 3 Useless, goes to ground far to easily, have always backed him but this is now wearing thin, but he still requires service of which is very poor
Subs: Gosling 3 No impact on game Easter 3 Useless, no pace, did not do much other than avoid Stanley's keeper when a chance was there. Bodin 5 Must be worth a start, can't be worse than players marked 3
DC 3 He must know by now we have no physical presence up front, not a good day for him. Crowd 5 Deserve more than the rubbish played today Ref 5 Some strange decisions aided by one incompetent assistant Accrington 6 Deserved the three points looked the better team throughout the game.

Nicholls 6 - Little to do, distribution looked fairly decent.
J. Clarke 5 - Looks a better cb than rb to me. Lockyer 6 - Defended well. Should have conceded a penalty and been sent off though if that was him? Parkes 3.5 - Below par, poor passing and missed a free header. Brown 6.5 - One of our better players, looked to try and make things happen down the left.
O. Clarke 5 - broke up play but offered little going forward Mansell 3 - Very little impact on the game Lines 5.5 - tried to make things happen but little help around him Sinclair 6.5 - Loved how he managed to keep the ball in play in the 2nd half when Lines overhit a pass. Not at his best though.
Harrison 4.5 - Needs to hold the ball up better and win more in the air. Was getting wound up quite easy, went down too easy rather than trying to make things happens Taylor 3 - I defend Taylor constantly but barely noticed him yesterday, not in the game at all and didn't look hungry enough considering he is trying to get back to being a regular.
Subs: Gosling 5 - Couldn't really get in the game. Easter 4.5 - Thought he would make more impact Bodin 6.5 - Good impact when he came on, played a brilliant ball through to Ellis I think it was. Could see the football brain there, should have done better with his chance through on goal though.
Crowd 4 - Common pattern where the crowd is always dead quiet for these small clubs, playing badly didn't help. Ref 5 - Didn't really notice him too much. Should have given Accrington a penalty. Accrington 5.5 - Hard working team. Not very good but better than us unfortunately.

Nicholls 7 promising start J. Clarke 6 Lockyer 7 Far better as a centre back Parkes 5 had a bad day Brown 6 O. Clarke 5 Mansell 3 has looked well off the pace in his 2 games Lines 7 hampered by lack of quality around him Sinclair 6 better in the 2nd half Harrison 5 our only goal threat , but poor service Taylor 3 can't control a ball , can't run without falling over Subs: Gosling 4 Easter 5 the only forward we have who can hold the ball and lay it off Bodin 6 has looked good when coming on as sub. Crowd 5 quiet ; understandable with what was happening on the pitch Ref 5 big improvement on last week Accrington 5 poor 4th division team ; better than us and won easily

My own opinions on yesterday's game.
Nicholls 6.5 Hard to assess. Untroubled for most of the game but stopped a one-on-one late on. Couple of moments of miscommunication with Lockyer.
J. Clarke 6.5 Defensively solid, but wasn't trusted enough to get down the right wing. Not his fault as we seemed to decide that without Leadbitter, we could only attack the wings with Brown on the left. He presented himself numerous times especially in the second half, but didn't get the ball. Lockyer 7 Dealt well with their strikers and didn't hoof the ball too much. Parkes 4.5 Seems harsh to criticise a League 2 defender for missing a chance, but that's three games in a row where he's missed a good opportunity. Too many floated long balls that the strikers has no chance with. Brown 5.5 His attacks down the wings are becoming so predictable and we rely on it too much.
O. Clarke 7 Did his job in shielding the defence and used some good close control to go past opposition players, something that was too rarely done yesterday as we tried to pass in front of and around the opposition. Mansell 4 I don't think he's back up to the pace of the game yet this season. Struggled to have any kind of incisive impact. Lines 4.5 Couldn't influence the game and was crowded out by the Accrington players. Too many balls over the top that were floaty. Sinclair 5 Harried the defenders and gave a committed performance as always but ultimately didn't link the midfield and attack as his role demanded. Like Lines, he came too deep when we were chasing the game second half.
Harrison 3.5 Couldn't get in the game and became more and more frustrated as the game went on. Taylor 4 Not helped by the service he received, but he was physically overpowered by the Accrington defenders.
Subs: Gosling 5 Stuck on the right wing, he received little service and when he did looked to cut in exacerbating the lack of width Easter 4 Offered exactly the same as Taylor had been. Bodin 6 Lively on the ball and made runs that no-one else had been making all afternoon.
Crowd 5 Flat for the most part and took out unfairly aimed the anger at the ref Ref 7.5 Thought he did well, most decisions right. We were fortunate to get a foul on Gosling when he gave the ball away for them to counter-attack. Accrington 6 They are clearly limited in their ability but they stuck to their tasks and definitely deserved at least a point. Took the one half-chance that they got.
I found it hard to mark individual players as the overall play was so poor, but no-one stood out. The style and formation didn't work and I'm surprised that Darrell didn't change it. It's alright if one player lacks creativity, but yesterday the whole team seemed to lack it. We needed a spark like a Della Verde or Dawson from last year. I'd have thrown on Kilgour or Lyttle just to try something different.

Nicholls 5 another loanee spectator Clarke J. 5 adequate Parkes 4.5 missing McCrystal Lockyer 5 still cant pass Brown 6 our only attacking outlet Sinclair 5.5 Don't get the love in with him Lines 6 Tried but no outlets for his passes Mansell 4 way off pace Clarke O 7 best of our midfield Harrison 5 how is he meant to score with passes 10 feet above his head Taylor 4 has been found out by referees ges to ground far too easily Easter 5 at least he made more effort than Taylor Gosling 4 wasted at wing back Bodin 4.5 had a chance ,blew it then nearly cost a goal
Dc 2 tactics questionable, team selection likewise

Thanks to everyone who gave their opinions this week, 16 is another good response. We should hit 100 for the season next week. Tom Lockyer was your Man of the Match for the second time this season, the first being against Birmingham in the cup. Billy Bodin became the first substitute this season to score above the team average. The starting XI average was 5.4 while Bodin scored 6.1. Arguably no other substitute has had a positive impact on a game. Also it seems like we've lost meadgas from the forum. He gave 31 ratings last season, the second most, and I always appreciated his comments on these threads. Nicholls 6.3 J. Clarke 6.0 Lockyer 6.8Parkes 4.5 Brown 5.9 O. Clarke 5.5 Mansell 4.1 Lines 6.0 Sinclair 6.3 Harrison 4.0 Taylor 3.8 Subs: Gosling 4.3 Easter 4.4 Bodin 6.1 Crowd 3.8 Ref 5.4 Accrington 6.5
