Why would we trust a consortium who choose to 'Leak' partial infornation rather than making a Public Statement? The more they remain 'secret' the more I worry. But would you trust NH anymore, we can't forgot the Cheltenham fiasco or the "watertight" contract comments he's made in the past? Particularly as Plan B seems to be to sell the Mem and become tenants at the UWE? If the consortium offer is a load of nonsense why doesn't NH front up to the fans and say that, rather than apparently bring in sh1thead CS to support his cause?

I see that no one has been blowing in the ear of Graham Russell about this like they have in the past when he wrote about problems with Sainsburys whilst Chairman Higgs was denying there were any issues. Nothing in this mornings Sunday Independent. Fingers crossed some media source picks up and runs with it this week then.

I'm guessing that leak came from a now ex Director?
I see the Plymouth Herald is reporting Neil Warnock made his first visit to Home Park to watch Plymouth, I just wonder if he was watching their opponents for some reason?

Why would warnock be watching us? He lives in Cornwall, he' has said that Argyle is his team now and he watches them now and again as a fan .

I tweeted Geoff Twentyman yesterday, no response - I would imagine that he is more likely to do some digging though.

I'm guessing that leak came from a now ex Director? You've been so far off the mark with your conspiracy theories I think you probably wrote the screenplay for the film.
Mind you, it could have been Santa, as I know where the grotto is. Give up guessing matey, i'm sure when the time comes, all will be revealed.
Just rest assured this is no wind up.

In no way am I doubting the word of the originators of this story and I absolutely trust what they have said, but I can't ever forget the disinformation spewed out via itk posters after the relegation season. The current board have inevitably lost the trust of the supporters so any news via anything but the official channels has to have huge doubt about being kosher imo.Still can't help getting a little excited, but this is Rovers, nothing good happens to us!

IMO (and I stand to be corrected) it's a fine mix between pulling the wool over and complete BS... "The club is in no different financial state than it has ever been in. We are no better or worse off than a lot of other clubs."
The classic defensive mentality and denial. No different financial state? So the debt hasn't increased considerably? Just because other clubs are in a complete mess doesn't give the board an excuse to leave us the same way. GT let him off very lightly on this one.

I have noticed that the recent stadium news of both teams has been covered by their political editor, Ian Onions. Mind you, his last article referred to Ashton Gate having a 'Fred' Wedlock stand.

If these people really
a) exist b) are serious c) are getting rebuffed/ignored by NH
Then they'll make themselves public in the next few days, probably via the EP. The next stage being using the fans as leverage in their favour.
Until then that's about it.

Well, if they are prepared to fund the stadium, they are not here to run the club into the ground. Exactly. Stumping up 30 million to build the stadium would mean that they would be in it for the long term and need the club to be successful to get their cash back. Bit like the Glazers at Man Uts.How much have they just paid themselves this year,16 million? Not all new owners are altruistic a lot are in it for the money

Dear lurking evil post reporter/cutandpaster. Here's your story, start digging. Thank you. That's probably too much work for them. They need help: Rovers Don't Deny NothingNick Higgs, chairman of Bristol Rovers didn't deny anything about rumours of a takeover bid at the Memorial Stadium because we couldn't be bothered to ask him. When given the choice between phoning someone up and having a chat, or browsing a bit more porn on the internet, our brave journalists fearlessly chose the latter. The storm broke when someone on the Gaschat forum said something about something else happening because of someone doing something. This is vital to the future of the club and so we decided not to bother looking into it, as we're busy writing a story about a pensioner getting angry because they nearly got hit by an immigrant cyclist emptying a recycling bin while mugging a Shaun the Sheep in a restricted parking zone, because those are our only frames of reference. 'We spend our time reading the fan forums coz it's easier than doing actual journalism, but if someone wants to write a press release for us, we are able to cut-and-paste it, word-for-word into our sad organ,' said an anonymous contact on the Bristol Post. Uncalled for,i happen to know James MacNamarra is a hard working journalist who doesn't rely on tittle tattle from a forum for his info

Don't forget all NH loans are not interest free.

I think you overlooked my post was referring to the previous leak about Sainsbury's pulling out, not the latest rumours.
