at the end of the day whether this rumour is true or not there are certain people on this forum who like to divulge slight bits of information to make themselves feel like they are part of a clique 'in the know' and seem to get off on watching other people speculate. I bet they are behind the computer wank1ng themselves off at the thought of other people not knowing the information that they do. why don't they just grow up and tell us what they know because if they know something then the information is already in the public domain. I'm pretty sure they're not like that. Then why not just say..... This is what a know etc and this is the source, make of it what you will. Rather than here's a snipet of something and I'm not telling you who I got it from. Maybe they don't know themselves but why not just say that. |

I still can't understand what they've achieved, all we know is that potentially NH has been presented with an offer to buy the club and build the UWE. We can hardly now force NH to admit he's had an offer & seriously consider it when we don't know who's made the offer or even if one has been made? |

Surely its the person they received this information from that should have been careful I.e the information shouldn't be in public domain therefor shouldn't have been passed on to anyone not directly involved with the club. If for example they received the information from a friend who said to keep it low key then they shouldn't have posted it on here. It's hard to get across what I'm getting at through text. I'm just keen to know why the full details can't be posted on here, if not then it shouldn't have been leaked from the club in any shape or form. |

Surely its the person they received this information from that should have been careful I.e the information shouldn't be in public domain therefor shouldn't have been passed on to anyone not directly involved with the club. Find this disrespectful to be honest especially seeing as the main culprit on this occasion has done a lot for this wonderful club of ours helping set up the FFS etc. He didn't have to tell us as much as he has and I'm sure he feels slightly guilty even if he thought it was the right thing to do at saying as much as he has. |

I really believe he wanted this kept quiet so he could continue his so called plan B. Then by the time it came out it would be too late to do anything. As with JTS, I couldn't just sit back and let this happen. I love the club too much to do that. If that upsets you, i'm sorry. But this is far more important than you and me.
As said previously, I stand by all of this. For those that wonder why anyone would spend millions on our football club, all I can say is this. Some while ago, Talksport did a feature on the most eligible clubs in Britain for investment. One guy, (cant remember the individuals involved), said his choice would be Bristol Rovers. When asked by the other guy why he picked a non league club, he said look at the crowds they get. But more importantly, they have planning permission in place to build a 22000 seat stadium.
Thankfully, we got back in the league at the first time of asking. But I think even our potential investors would have been impressed at the idea of a non league club taking 30,000 to Wembley. If ever there was a sales pitch to come buy us, that was it.
Whatever NH has in mind, I firmly believe his plan B will condemn us to remaining no better than a league 1 club. I also believe that those willing to settle for plan B are kidding themselves.
This is a once in a lifetime chance to actually become what we've all dreamed about as fans, and don't let me hear 5 Live saying again how some fans from one premier club or another deserve better. Come and see how we have to live thanks to the Premierships greed.
You have to wonder whether UWE and South Gloucs Council know anything about this. Remember, from the councils point of view, this was written into their plan for the area years ago, and these new investors will save them time and money by not having to vary the existing planning permission.
As for UWE, the build could begin fairly quickly, especially their requirement for a new car park.
But more important than that, they wouldn't need to spend their own funds doing it.
But most importantly, after a troubled existence, we could finally amount to something we can all be proud of. UTG

If the rumour has any credence, then Higgs is in a very difficult position. If as rumoured the stadium will be built as planned, there will be money for players and the club be run professionally. Then he is either going to deny it out of hand, or say that is exactly what he plans to do..Ha , Ha. I would like to know is how he intends to convince the fans of anything, as. He has never been completely frank with us before. I say Higgs out the sooner the better.
