Just have to be patient i'm afraid. Its now really for NH or the consortium to take it on. The only reason for breaking cover now was to try and prevent us getting second best. And I know I can live with that.

at the end of the day whether this rumour is true or not there are certain people on this forum who like to divulge slight bits of information to make themselves feel like they are part of a clique 'in the know' and seem to get off on watching other people speculate. I bet they are behind the computer wank1ng themselves off at the thought of other people not knowing the information that they do. why don't they just grow up and tell us what they know because if they know something then the information is already in the public domain. Your post strikes me as being one of pique because you are not the one "in the know" and I find it insulting to the two posters who have divulged the information available. I hate divides amongst supporters, so hope that you will have the good grace to apologise to them WHEN they are proved reliable and correct, as I will to you if they are proved to be nothing less than rumour mongering. |

Topper, i'm personally not trying to achieve anything other than telling the fans what I truly KNOW to be accurate. If you are so upset with it, don't read it. Turn off your computer and remain in the blissful ignorance that will please Higgs. I really believe he wanted this kept quiet so he could continue his so called plan B. Then by the time it came out it would be too late to do anything. As with JTS, I couldn't just sit back and let this happen. I love the club too much to do that. If that upsets you, i'm sorry. But this is far more important than you and me. As said previously, I stand by all of this. For those that wonder why anyone would spend millions on our football club, all I can say is this. Some while ago, Talksport did a feature on the most eligible clubs in Britain for investment. One guy, (cant remember the individuals involved), said his choice would be Bristol Rovers. When asked by the other guy why he picked a non league club, he said look at the crowds they get. But more importantly, they have planning permission in place to build a 22000 seat stadium. Thankfully, we got back in the league at the first time of asking. But I think even our potential investors would have been impressed at the idea of a non league club taking 30,000 to Wembley. If ever there was a sales pitch to come buy us, that was it. Whatever NH has in mind, I firmly believe his plan B will condemn us to remaining no better than a league 1 club. I also believe that those willing to settle for plan B are kidding themselves. This is a once in a lifetime chance to actually become what we've all dreamed about as fans, and don't let me hear 5 Live saying again how some fans from one premier club or another deserve better. Come and see how we have to live thanks to the Premierships greed. You have to wonder whether UWE and South Gloucs Council know anything about this. Remember, from the councils point of view, this was written into their plan for the area years ago, and these new investors will save them time and money by not having to vary the existing planning permission. As for UWE, the build could begin fairly quickly, especially their requirement for a new car park. But more important than that, they wouldn't need to spend their own funds doing it. But most importantly, after a troubled existence, we could finally amount to something we can all be proud of. UTG Gasincider - fancy asking Topper to turn off his computer.

This must not turn into a 'them and us' thread. I am sure those that 'let the cat out the bag' did not do it to upset anyone and those that are not sure its true are I am sure not wanting to be talked down to, just because they dont know the details. Please calm down people and see what happens, we don't need 'Higgs out' or 'don't read it if you don't like it' all these things take time and to be honest these new people could make or break us, nobody knows the answer to that !

Anyway, back to Gas insider's post and JTS: Do either of you guys know who the Consortium is (just that you can't say) or at the present moment, do you only know that there is a Consortium involved, but don't yet have details of them? If you do know who the Consortium is, I'm not asking you to name them; I just wondered how detailed your info is. And thanks for the updates both. Potentially very exciting times! |

One/ Charlie Sheen - that is cool.
Two/ Everyone seems to be saying that Plan C is better than Plan B, but we do not know what Plan B is, nor indeed what Plan C is ! It's assumed by everyone that Plan C is better than Plan B.
The feeling given by most is that NH is blocking Plan C, thereby preventing the club moving forward and because of that he's a nasty man. Is that true though? or is that the PR being put out by the Plan C people?
It is impossible to come to any conclusion based on what we know, and what we know is a big fat friggin zero !

LOL sitting at my work already after an hour's commute, having spent most of the weekend driving up and down the country, I'd love to actually be at home not out even more! Now off to see letters, files and a computer screen. Back to the OP I sense until their usual club sopurse decides to divulge a bit more info or the consortium make a public announcment we'll not hear anymore. Let's just hope breaking this news doesn't scupper the plans. |

No worries, you soon learn not to get offended on a forum as it soon turns into a slanging match with no winners/somebody banned, although I still can't understand what's to be gained by your club source leaking this info, as surely if the consortium itself has concerns they need to go public themseleves sooner rather than later. As "Nobby" suggests above until we know full details of Plan's B & C then we've no idea which is in the best interests of the club and that NH is not acting in the club's best interests, your source clearly feels it's Plan C but unless they've filled you in with all the plan details I doubt even you can come to a real conclusion? I assume there's now always ther prospect of Plan D, the present BoD now find the finance to build Plan A! |

The thing I don't get is you say it was the right time for everyone to know, but we still don't know a lot and the club can still just deny it as there are no sources, names etc.
Plus if the consortium wanted it public and wanted the fans support, they would have come forward themselves. Maybe be realising the information, you might have ruined any chances of a deal, therefore making it worse for the club, not better??? Unless you know someone involved and were told to leak it now, but with no names, evidence etc I can't see its going to make a lot of difference. It will just water off all involved imo.

Daniel. I felt it was the right time to make the call. Time alone will show if I was right or wrong in my timing. I wish I could see the future sometimes. But I can't so rather than let what I believe plan B to be to keep running with no one the wiser I made the call. I can assure you I truly did what I felt was right. UTG
