I doubt Everton are also in the process of suing Sainsbury's for £30m though? You are missing the point. Win or lose the Sainsbury's case, it is a pretty straightforward case to draw up contracts that will deal with both eventualities. Next, even with confidentiality agreements, there is nothing wrong in saying that 'talks are taking place'. The CA's are there to stop specific details of the possible agreement being discussed in public. Everton - The news is out there. Crystal Palace - The news was out there before the deal was reached. FFS - Even with Torquay there is news! Rovers - A deal which is obviously far bigger and more complicated than any other in the history of football. Yeah, right. Believe it or not, we (the football club) are not that special. FFS nobster have some patience. We're only on page 281 for crying out loud. It'll be any day now! Keep the faith |

I hate this thread. It is ruining this forum for me!
Every time I login it is top of the list of recent threads, so I assume something may have happened, I read through the last 5 tiresome pages full of terrible jokes and loose innuendos only to find that as per normal nothing has actually happened. By this point I have pretty much lost the will to live so log out of the forum as I don't have the interest to look at any of the other threads.
A few days later I will log in again and the process will start again...
Gas Chat has become a mental prison for me! It's like azkaban!

If anything actually happens it's not going to be on this thread! It will be all over the forum with multiple threads. This thread is nothing more than a side note in belief in nothing. My advice is to read the other threads first! I've decided that I'm going to apply the same principle on here as I have in everything else. If there is no evidence of it, its not real. Faith is a crazy position to adopt when you use and apply thought and reason to all other aspects of life. As such, I'm going to start sticking the boot into Nick where he fails and support and prairie him when he succeeds. It's all we have. |

I agree with the principle of what you are saying normally and a lot of time the clubs do leak information, however it is possible to keep it secret and we have with things in the past. Higgs worked on the Uwe and Sainsburys plans for years, with the council, Uwe, Sainsburys etc in secret without it leaking somehow! They made all the plans for both build, had meetings with loads of people, yet none of us had any idea about it, until both schemes were announced. So Higgs likes to do things behind closed doors, with no one knowing until they have to. He likes confidentiality clauses and not having to answer questions, it was the same when Sainsburys wanted to pull out. Not saying the consortium excist, as I know nothing about them, however, it is possible for them to exist and for the club to keep it quiet if needed. |
