I wax my penis for a smooth finish. At my age I'm glad I can finish at all. For me, finishing is not the problem. It's actually getting started in the first place ! Henbury - You and me both by the sound of it

Alright Baggins, enough of the banter. We may be getting in the way of the latest development regarding 'The Consortium'. The news could literally break any second now.......or it may not. FFS, this whole thread is based on what someone said they saw on twatter, yet they can't reveal what it is. I wax my penis for a smooth finish. You use your ear wax?

I’ve been advised by the Evening Post that apparently no-one expressed an interest in bidding for The Mem in accordance with the Asset of Community Value. So, as we thought it was just the likes of Carstairs, Radice, Willingham who tried to throw a spanner in the works and clearly no-one was stupid or wealthy enough to be interested. Having said that, I will not be surprised if Carstairs etc come up with another “ruse” before The Mem has been disposed of.

He's already bottling up some Black Necked Crested Newts from a pond in Devon to release onto the pitch at the Mem as we speak !

The 7% is (I think) the figure Sainsbury's quoted at the original trial. Apparently, they need something like a 12% return to make a supermarket viable. How know's if those figures were genuine though as Sainbury's could hardly own up to the fact they out bid Waitrose etc by £10m just to stop them buying the land/building their supermarket? exactly this.... i suspect sainsbury's never had any intention of building on the land, it was just to stop a store competeing with their store at the other end of filton avenue. i strongly suggest they applied the same strategy for their ashton gate plans aswell as sainsbury already had a big store right across the road. i personally became suspicious of it all when it was in the planning for them to shut the sainsbury local store at the end of nevil road (something to do with monopolising), despite it all ready being made public that these smaller stores were profitable, and that shop inparticular is always very busy.... of course this, like most stuff on here is personal thoughts without any fact whatsoever....

Getting back on topic even if the board accept the bid from the consortium it still has to be approved by the football league, they have to decide if the new proposed owners are fit and proper,as is the case with Crawley who have been in discussions with a Turkish millionaire over a take over, but the FL have stepped in to ask for information regarding the proposed new owners

That's what we always needed a Blatter in charge, he would make NH look like Florence Nightingale. On a serious point, we could end up with someone like the Blatterazzi !

Too much thinking can destroy your faith. I have no faith in a rumour based on what someone claims they accidentally saw on twatter, none at all. In breaking news.......... "Everton are closing on a £200million takeover agreement with US businessmen John Jay Moores and Charles Noell. Talks have reached such an advanced stage that the deal could be announced before the end of the month. Moores, the former owner of San Diego Padres baseball team, and Noell have spent the last six weeks carrying out due diligence and holding talks with Everton's majority shareholders, chairman Bill Kenwright, Robert Earl and Jon Woods." Everton - Six weeks Due Diligence on a 200 million deal. Rovers - Not a single scrap of evidence a deal is forthcoming in over five months, on a deal which is probably worth less than 20% of the Everton deal. Confidentiality Agreements? Please don't insult our intelligence.

I doubt Everton are also in the process of suing Sainsbury's for £30m though?

I doubt Everton are also in the process of suing Sainsbury's for £30m though? You are missing the point. Win or lose the Sainsbury's case, it is a pretty straightforward case to draw up contracts that will deal with both eventualities. Next, even with confidentiality agreements, there is nothing wrong in saying that 'talks are taking place'. The CA's are there to stop specific details of the possible agreement being discussed in public. Everton - The news is out there. Crystal Palace - The news was out there before the deal was reached. FFS - Even with Torquay there is news! Rovers - A deal which is obviously far bigger and more complicated than any other in the history of football. Yeah, right. Believe it or not, we (the football club) are not that special.
