I'm not going to say which one for obvious reasons but he has no reason to lie to me given on what he has told me in the past. But it is one of our executive directors. The obvious reasons being what if he didn't tell you anything?? I'll put it this way. I know both Ed and Barry well through various different avenues and have no reason to disbelieve anything they tell me. If I ask a question they don't want to or can't answer, they usually say, I can't answer that, and I don't push them for info. I asked if the rumours were true and was told that it wasn't true. If any of you know Roadman or his dad. They will confirm the legitimacy of my information.

Bristol Rovers have not been and are not currently in talks with a mystery consortium over the sale of the club, the Post has been told by club insiders. Supporter-run news website Vital Gas ran a story on Tuesday night suggesting that a consortium had made an approach to "take over" the club with a promise to provide £40 million to build a new stadium at UWE along with further investment to strengthen the squad in January. Rovers were contacted for comment on Tuesday night, but, as of yet, there has been no official word from the club on the report, which also went on to claim that chairman Nick Higgs had turned down the offer from a "Birmingham-based" consortium because it "does not allow for repayment of losses that he incurred during his ownership". There has so far been no confirmation as to how much, if anything, the group in question have offered to buy the club for and insiders have suggested that Higgs has been "angered" by the claims and is reluctant to "dignify the rumours with a response". The club are expected to maintain their silence on the matter until the Rovers chairman makes an appearance at the Supporters' Club Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled to take place at the Memorial Stadium on Thursday, October 8. The identities of the rumoured consortium, meanwhile, have also yet to be revealed by those who have placed the information of their existence into the public domain – although the Post has been told that the group may have been showing a longer-term interest in the club going back 18 months. ]The Post attempted to contact the consortium in question through a third-party, who claims to know who the group are, on Sunday. A response has yet to be forthcoming and the third-party was unavailable for comment when contacted again on Wednesday. m.bristolpost.co.uk/BRISTOL-ROVERS-Club-stays-silent-rumours-talk/story-27856409-detail/story.html

But the 'insiders' on here do? thats why I gave up posting regularly on the forums. People are more interested in the source of info than the info itself. What's interesting here is that NH hasn't come out and denied it like he has previously. I also don't buy the "dignify the rumours with a response" bearing mind one of the sources is a respected fan, not just some idiot on Twitter looking for publicity. I'd still put my money on a bid having been made, the problem now for NH is that he's set a deadline of 8 October to do a deal, as otherwise that meeting could be an interesting one if he's still deny a bid has been made.

Perhaps. They may not be in the know regarding details of a takeover. They may only know what Higgs has told them.
