Should be a great atmosphere, and I think that players will now push on after getting a point at Plymouth.

We still have the same problems we've had recently at home probably no Leadbitter and little firepower up front, I can't see a last minute equaliser at Pompey will change things. I just hope if DL's out DC goes 4-4-2 and stops messing about with odd formations then we might stand a chance.

We'd be back to playing with for CMs across the midfield as none of our wide players have looked dangerous. We got relegated doing that.

Montano apparently looked good at Plymouth, surely he's a better option than Sinclair at WB, or worst still in front of the midfield two?

Just as long as he doesn't start with that formation we started with against Accrington. We don't have a decent a decent wide player on each side to I don't think 442 would have a good balance. Sinclair isn't great as a wide midfielder but I thought he was doing okay at WB against Oxford before the ref lost the plot.

I am not sure I know our best side but for me Sinclair is definitely one of our best players when played in the middle.
If DC wants to continue with 352 then Macca is an option at CB allowing either Clarke or Lockyer to move out on the right. Although this would be a shame in some ways cos both have looked good at CB.
In terms of 442 I think Lines is the problem. I am a big fan of his and want him to play but he is a piano player not carrier to quote Ollie. Although if there is one man who can run for 2 players it's the beard so that would be my 442 CM pairing. Although that would be harsh on Manse and Ollie Clarke.
Good to have options and a manager who isn't scared to try out new ideas.
Sounds like a good time to play Pompey with their injury problems. Hoping for a morale boosting 3-0.

Big crowd tomorrow for sure. I hope we get off to a lively start and there'll be a cracking atmosphere. Can't wait.
While all the other stuff is rightly talked about - takeovers, stadiums etc. - watching football matches is what the club is for, and this is a big one.

UTG If you mean to RWB then I think that would be a horror move tbh - neither are wing backs IMO. Agree about Lines in a 4-4-2 though, it's a tricky one. Would definitely take a 3-0!

I'd love a 3-2 for the hell of it, with us scoring last.

Tom Lockyer is our first choice CB in my eyes. That is where he should stay until he retires from us. Stick one of our dedicated wingers on and have one of the 3 CMs play cautious on that side. Main problem is shooting at the net!

Why play a winger at WB when Clarke could play RB and the winger play in his usual . Lines roles played most of last season for us in a 4-4-2 formation so I can't see why he can't this season, at least until Leadbitter is fit.
