Big fan of DC however my patience is running thin now, can he not see our failings?
we need two wingers, another progressive midfielder like Vitas, and a powerful striker.
we will struggle until he gets some new players in, what we have got is a good nucleus to build on however the writing is on the wall, we do not create enough.
does anyone think he can turn us around with our current squad?
i don't like to be a doom n gloom merchant but this side is a bottom six finisher, not play off contenders.

No point in signing wingers if we don't use a formation which incorporates them. Any spare cash is going on the court case, you know, the one we have already lost. Give Bodin a game!

Disagree.
We've had a very tough run of fixtures, we won't finish bottom 6.
We have the players, imo, just not playing them in the right way. The link between midfield and attack is the issue and needs addressing. Either Bodin or Gosling in between midfield and attack and we'll instantly look a better side.

In another parallel universe our chairman reluctantly agrees we need to seriously invest in players:

Dc said he would like to add to the squad and was hoping to bring in a striker before deadline day, then the week after once the loan window Re opened. Think its the funding that's the problem.

I don't think DC is satisfied with the current squad at all tbh and knows full well where our weaknesses are. He's been saying we need to bring in a striker for a long time, but nothing has happened. He also tried to bring in JMW but couldn't offer him enough money, and seemed to settle for Bodin as a backup.

I am sure Mr Higgs is not going to allow him to bring new players in when he doesn't play the people that he has signed.I think they are both to blame. No point bringing wingers in if he isn't going to use a formation that uses them and no point bringing a big physical striker in when both Lucas and Blissett are left out of the squad completely. Montano might be good enough given a fair run as may Bodin.

I know the saying is often quality over quantity, but with our squad so small, I don't blame him for bringing in players who might only be good enough for backup, if that's all his funds will stretch too.

Exactly. He doesn't have a lot of choice at the wages we can currently afford to play. He pulled a rabbit out of the hat with James Clarke, but it's very hard to keep doing that.

Lines needs to get himself ahead of Sincs and Clarke more often for me. Our passing game is decent, all of the look comfortable on the ball. We just don't attack on numbers.
