More importantly. Can D.C. manage a football league club? He does struggle. Tuesdays don't count...?

Can DC manage Lines and Easter?
Well, he left one of them out today so not afraid to make a big call. The other one scored his second in two games. Oh, and we won 3-0 away. Maybe DC deserves a bit of credit?

Maybe DC deserves a bit of credit? yes he does and i think hes making a point to lines about whose in charge which is great,,,i feel that lines just wants to sit deep and pass the ball but he can and needs to do more than that so the message from the manager is crystal clear

The point is, that when Lines plays, he needs to affect the match further up the pitch, like Sincs did brilliantly for the first goal. Lines is very capable of playing like this, as shown at times at the end of last season.

Or was he just resting him because we've two v. long journey's ahead of us this week? If he was then now he's a big selection problem for Saturday, although I doubt he's worred about that today!

I think that DC knew that things needed shaking up after Saturday, and had the courage and conviction to make the right decisions.

lines and easter seem to be playing in a comfort zone 15 yards deeper than they should be for me,,why? does dc have a problem managing our bigger name players? some of lines passing is a joy to watch but if he was further up the pitch he could play one twos with strikers and run at defences which he is clearly capable of doing. also why the hell does he take almost every set piece when brown mansell and gosling are just as good at them as him? easter is neat and tidy but too often much to deep and not a threat? is dc bottling out of properly managing these 2?I think your question was answered last night

DC. Deserves credit for building the most motivated hard working side that we've had since the Trollop Lawrence years. He's won promotion and now his side are doing alright in a higher division. The budget isn't the best or even high for where we are and for the first time in so long we aren't underachieving.

Easter and Lines have football brains, unfortunately some of the others do not. And DC is fully in charge!

The budget isn't the best or even high for where we are and for the first time in so long we aren't underachieving. Since before then, I think individual raw talent got us through that period. If you're implying that team spirit leads to motivation and hard work, probably the best side since the Twerton Park years...? Easter and Lines have football brains, unfortunately some of the others do not. And DC is fully in charge! I think that's harsh in some ways and fair in others. For example, drop either into a random League One team right now and both would struggle, whereas there are others who would probably cope better (because of position and/or attitude, I'm thinking of Lockyer but there are others). As DC is fully in charge it's his job to get the best out of the whole squad and therefore from those two players. Play to their strengths and win. Or play a different way and win. Winning is the important part, whether they start or not...
