Odd how Tuesday evening fans thought DC was a brillant manager but a couple of days later he's being basically accused of not having a clue what he's doing with a young player?

Remember Ward said we had enough "good" strikers and didn't need anymore, then he let Richards go, and then DC got the job after the window closed. The rest is history

Doesn't Marcus Stewart coach the strikers, he would have a major imput.

Jamie Lucas was playing footgolf with the squad (whenever that took place.) If it was after loan was agreed then presumably he's still training with us during the week and playing at weekends?
If this is the case, that's an excellent situation for all involved imo.

I think DC implied in his interview that he sees a future for Jamie later this season near the first team. DC turned Ellis around and seems to be a good man manager so I trust what he is doing for sure. Doesn't make it any less disappointing though!
Also noticed Lucas is Welsh. Nothing (much!) wrong with that but we seem to have a lot of young welsh players doing well so must have a good link up somewhere.

Lucas was picked up by the West Midlands academy when he lived in Bromsgrove, think it's just by chance he was born in Wales (assuming he was?)

Ah ok thanks - thought this may have been the case but with the pics and video only going up yesterday I thought it may have been earlier in the week. Will keep an eye on Macclesfield game today and hope JL can get back on the score sheet

Sorry but even after the result the other night this is disgusting unless there is a striker coming in. The continual swopping of strikers with no target alternative in case we need it (which in the case of several if not half of the games we have) is just amazing. It makes you wonder whether there is a problem with Lucas's attitude as his contribution at Plymouth was there for all to see in a 10 to 15 minute appearance where he actually won two balls in the air and set up Harrison twice -once for the penalty and then for what should have been the winner. Ok we just see the games but that ,as far as I am concerned is all that is important. I don't care how they perform in training if they can do it on the bloody pitch that is good enough for me. I am a big Lucas fan but wonder if DC realises he needs to manage his existing strikers. Easter is probably on good wages and others are contracted until the end of the season. They scored three goals on Tuesday and for all we know, there is a clause allowing Lucas to come back earlier if needed. Not saying it would happen, but he already seems to not want Blissett, the last thing he needs is losing another striker to the bench. Lines aside (and a one year contract was a great motivator for Line), I haven't seen us spend any real money thus far. Not sure if DC has the money to bring in another striker...

Assuming Harrison is on international duty next week it'll be interesting to see if he puts on the bench, it's all a bid odd how he's fallen so far out of favour bearing in mind DC signed him in the first place.
