Good for the lad. It's clear that he's 4th or lower in the pecking order with DC also still indicating he wants to bring in another striker. Another good spell at Boreham Wood (of Borehamwood) will be great for him.
It will be interesting to see if there is an official announcement, because there was no acknowledgement of Nathan Blisset returning from Tranmere (unless I've missed it?)

Blisset has returned but didn't have good reviews from tranmere fans. Yes - I got that, but there was no announcement from BRFC about his return. I'd like to think that he is given the chance to fight for his place, rather than being left out in the cold.

Kind of disappointed about this. He got a sniff of the first team, did okay by all accounts and then got packed off again. Good for his development at BW but I think we all have the dream of him getting a chance in the first team, netting a hat trick and keeping his spot!

Back to three strikers again. Either Blissett must be in DC's plans or we're hopefully getting someone else in as you need 4 strikers imo.

I cannot believe Blissett isn't even in contention. What happened at Tranmere for god's sake? He was never THAT bad!

Brilliant news, keep him fit and game ready, I have a feeling he will play a big part at the tail end of the season.

Sorry but even after the result the other night this is disgusting unless there is a striker coming in. The continual swopping of strikers with no target alternative in case we need it (which in the case of several if not half of the games we have) is just amazing. It makes you wonder whether there is a problem with Lucas's attitude as his contribution at Plymouth was there for all to see in a 10 to 15 minute appearance where he actually won two balls in the air and set up Harrison twice -once for the penalty and then for what should have been the winner. Ok we just see the games but that ,as far as I am concerned is all that is important. I don't care how they perform in training if they can do it on the bloody pitch that is good enough for me.

I believe training is as important as a match. Training well, time keeping, personal presentation, what you eat, your home life and respect for your manager all have a massive bearing on your match day performance. I'm not suggesting that this is anything to do with Lucas btw, just surprised you are only bothered about the 90 mins.

Surely training etc is better carried out under DC/MS watchful eyes than 100+ miles away at BW where we have no real contacts on the coaching staff as far as I'm aware? Having saad that if BW are prepared to contribute X anmount towards his wages perhaps that's seen as a good deal rather than have him sat on the bench as striker option No 4? I also guess a run of full games at BW is better than 15 mins at Rovers occassionally? It'll be intesresting to see if Bliss makes the bench as I'm starting to wonder if we inserted a Div 2 appearence clause in his contract as surely he can't be so bad he can't even make our bench/appear as a late sub?

So Hugo on that basis (and I know I am being stupid) if we had a team full of players who trained well, turned up on time, didn't go out for fish and chips or drink heavily, were good at home (whatever that may mean!!) and never questioned the Manager but unfortunately were absolute crap on the match performance then you would be satisfied? Other than the drinking and the fish and chips even I at 60 could have a go at the rest so I will bring my boots on saturday- oh problem i don't have any boots so perhaps I should buy some and go to Boreham Wood!!!

Lol, no! I get what you are saying. Of course Saturday matters but I feel that so does every other day. Ive not watched much training I'll admit but when I have would it surprise you to learn that Mansell, Lockyer and Browner were the ones putting in a shift?

Football has changed. It is very rare (Tom L.) for a young player to cement a place in league teams. There is no Reserve team or any competitive fixtures for fringe players at Rovers. Boreham Wood will guarantee Jamie L 4/5 full competitive games, not 1 cup game and 4 bench periods. Do BW train full-time? If not Mr Lucas will be around in the week any way.

As far as I'm concerned, JL is yet to be given a fair crack of the whip, if he's on the fringe enough for DC to have him on the bench but not play him he's better going out on loan for the season with a view to playing more regularly next season.
All they have to do is put in a recall clause if we get an injury. Win win

'Disgusting'?! Really? Think that's slightly OTT, Steve. Can do Lucas no harm to go out and get regular football again. DC sees him every day and obviously doesn't think he's quite up to it yet. I'm sure there's a recall clause in there if we needed to get him back. I see no issues with it.
