Good goal by Ma-tbone for the first to get the ball rolling ? Good. How many chances did he miss though?

It was the JPT so it doesn't count.

Quality performance tonight a real team effort and so good to see us not going sideways all the time soon as we got to the box. Much more direct up front and another two good goals. Thought Montana looks out of his depth though, there is a half decent player there but his body language is that of someone with zero determination and confidence unfortunately. Shame there's no game Saturday because we seem to have a similar momentum to what we had last season now that we've settled in to the season.

Mateeeee scored a lovely goal curling it in from the edge of the box, took a very slight defleftion of a defender but I think would have gone in anyway.

Really enjoyed that game.
Wycombe were tidy on the ball and should have had a couple, but we missed 3/4 good chances and could have made the win a lot more convincing.
Thought our two goals were both brilliantly created and finished.
Bodin was a big threat again and some of the linkup play between Taylor and Easter was brilliant at times. Real partnership starting to form there.
MontaƱo is a bit of a nearly man atm. Looks like he's lacking confidence to me. Nice to see Blissett get on the pitch too.
All in all, job done.

No it was Taylor's goal and he also played very well. I know you don't want to believe it but really it's true, don't be too down though old chap we won didn't we.

HaHa,sorry mate you can't take that one off him. Our attacking play was good tonight and Taylor was a big part of it,credit where it's due

Of all the strikers on the pitch from both teams Taylor was as good as any of them tonight, the worst miss was Bodin's and he also had a good game

If the team (and indeed Matty) keep playing like they did tonight it might be 25-30...or it might be 10-12...as long as the team keeps winning, those of us who don't have a vendetta against him can see what he brings to the team all over the pitch and don't care how many he actually scores himself...

How's that going given you constantly harass and abuse an individual who represents the club...?

Yeah since he came into this squad we've won promotion and he's been our top scorer and now he's on form and scoring again this season in a division above. I've always thought he could play league 1 one day and I still think that. I just hope it's with us.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game tonight.
I will never know how we went in at half time 2-0 up though! Wycombe probably will feel hard done by to not have scored 3 or 4 there, they missed some absolute sitters.
Second half though we created 4 or 5 clear cut opportunities and should've put that game. In all honesty it could've been 5-5! They hit the bar, missed a one on one, Nicholls made at least 2 good saves. Taylor missed a header from 2 yards, Easter had one saved, Bodin missed a one on one, Parkes did likewise and Montano put over the bar from 1 yard out. Real entertainment.
Positives were going forward. Taylor and Easter are developing a real understanding and I think that was the best i've ever seen Taylor play. And Eater too. Taylor's first goal was sublime, the touch was out of this world. He brought down a long ball expertly to start the move for the second too. Bodin was outstanding, real creative threat and I thought Montano looked lively at times. I think there's a player there.
Negatives (despite the clean sheet) was that we did look frail at the back at times. I thought Brown got exposed a lot and they were allowed to run at our defence far too much. I think lines has to pick up some blame there, Sinclair was outstanding but couldn't boss the midfield on his own. Communication seemed lacking at times but credit where it's due to Wycombe, they played some nice stuff. mcChrytal was class and Leadbitter solid. Montano defensively is a liability which is a worry though.
I don't think Lines, Parkes or Montano did enough to dislodge Mansell, Lockyer or Gosling for Mansfield however. Leadbitter should start right back.
Excellent test, great going forward, roll on the next round! I do feel we have a real shot at Wemberley this year. Repeat of 06/07?!
