Has anyone had this done and can recommend it? I'm not in a position to be able to go for it yet but it's something that's high on my priority list. I refuse to wear glasses and obviously can't wear my contacts all day and find I can't really do as much due to only being able to see for the recommended 10 hours or so a day.

I know you're not supposed to but I just wear my contact lenses all day pretty much. |

I wear my toric lenses more than I should....avoid blowers in cars and if they irritate take them out before they pop out. Since laser eye surgery is about as trusted, take your pick...

Mate had it done a few years ago purely for the fact he does all this mountaineering malarkey and his glasses kept freezing up the higher he went. Not the nicest experience, not sure it was painful but certainly an odd and slightly terrifying procedure to go through. He's glad he had it done though. |

A friend had it done a few years ago, and says it's one of the best things she ever did. I really fancy it, as I don't like wearing glasses, but not sure that I'm brave enough to go through the surgery. I'm also wary of the various scare stories about the companies who specialise in this type of surgery.
