I imagine the Mansfield manager will be at least warned by the FA some of the things he said in the press conference were very controversial and utterly wrong And what were these things? Blaming the ref for the red cards, Saying his team were the better team on the day and generally having an angry rant at the officials |

Lighten up. Doesn't look good for Mansfield if they are beaten in a home fixture against the worse team he's seen.Always good to see a bad loser making a fool of themselves though! |

Haven't had a chance to keep up with the football today but had a feeling Rovers would win (away, again!) and Wycombe would lose so had a fiver double on Rovers and Stevenage (result and BTTS) - returned £178. Well would you bloody believe it? What a result. Praise be Matty T.

Attachment DeletedWonderful day.Ref lost control early on .Mansfield kept pulling our players and were lucky to finish the first half with 11 on the pitch.Ellis lost it but only got a yellow which could have been a red.Lockyer and James Clarke magnificent. After Alfreton and Braintree ,it's good to be back.Weird Mansfield ploy is to go into a huddle during the game.We lacked a physical presence up front but WOW what a game.Mansell was a real leader when it mattered with all their off the ball shennagins which did them no credit. Friendly locals(Gas Ed youv'e got one in at the Railway Inn as you didn't show there) but excellent policing after the game when three local spotty faced skinny youths tried to run at our fans whilst leaving.No messing from the boys in blue there!! The off the ball tactics may have have been behind the Ref's back but the linesmen didn't help him .One player,Hunt, made Ryan Shawcross' off the ball antics look like a Sunday school game.Euphoria in the crowd at the end was sheer joy.Memorable afternoon and was this really the same Rovers that played Accrington?? Gos had a mazy run in the box at the end and we thought it would be three but wev'e got our Rovers back and any consortium will have to pay another ten million after this display!!

Well upon hearing some of their fan's reactions after the game this kind of comment doesn't surprise me. Was a bit surprised by the friendly nature of the Stags fan on here and people thinking it would be a nice day out. Seemed like a pretty nasty bunch the few times I've been up there. |

Haha, I like to think that in here when we get beat there are usually more people criticising us than the away team, why do the large majority of people we beat think that we don't deserve it? Is it because they're jealous? Is it because they just really can't admit that they were second best, or are they genuinely that deluded? |

We didn't play anywhere near our best today,but were plenty good enough to win,for all their possession first half I don't recall one shot on target they had.
Second half some of their players lost the plot,their manager ought to look at his own players lack of discipline for their defeat

Stopped in the services on the M1 on the way home,very surprised to see Cotterill in there,didn't want to chat to us gasheads,and boy has he aged.
Still gave him a nice chant of Sh.thead

Just got back, best game of football I've seen in a while! Should've been 2 or 3 up by the time Mansfield equalised but would've taken a 2-1 win beforehand. Great following for a 300 mile round trip too.
Thought the police handled things abit heavy handed. I went for a meal in the retail park 100m away from the away end before the match and was asked by 5 different officers who I suppoted before I reached the turnstiles!
All in all a decent day out, apart from the fact Mansfield is a sh*thole!

Wow - it's amazing how people can see the same game so differently. I thought Mansfield were the nastiest team we have faced for a long time. Some of their off the ball antics were well out of order. I actually thought it was good to see Rovers go toe to toe with them . Usually we are too nice. Easter's dive was utterly pathetic though and made us look like cheats. I hope they gave him a good kicking at half time in the changing rooms. |
