Nicholls 7 handled well but kicked poorly once or twice and may have done better for their goal

Leadbitter 7 looked delighted to give an assist for Easters goal, we looked vulnerable down the left when he was substituted
J. Clarke 7.5 great stretch and volley to assist the winner
Lockyer 9 MOM will we be able to keep hold of him?
Parkes 7.5 glad he avoided getting too involved in the wrestling match
Brown 7.5 some good crosses and solid in defence

Sinclair 8 ran and ran and ran and got in some good challenges
Mansell 7 leader in the middle
Lines 5 the smack on the head early on looked to have affected him

Taylor 7 great winner and unlucky to have one ruled offside
Easter 4 stupid sending off and I look forward to seeing him on a diving board

Crowd Gas crowd 9 good noise but again a large group arrives late and drunk causing hassle for the police and stewards Stag fans 4 poor in number poor in support

Leadbitter.Provided Easter's goal but sacrificed following the sending off. 7
J Clarke.Magnificent.Great signing.played a big part in our onslaught during the final ten minutes and what a centre for the winner.8
Lockyer.Solid as a rock.Hope we hold on to him. 8
Parkes.did well.Mansfield very dirty with numerous off the ball fouls so good that Tom stood firm.Distribution not the best and his wayward header led to their goal.Strong though when we needed strong men. 7
Brown.Have seen him play better but wasn't found wanting. 7
Sinclair.Not his usual self but worked very hard.6
Mansell.The awful Mansfield ploy with off the ball fouling,shirt pulling and strangle holds needed a strong leader.Manse was it.7 and a half.
Lines .Booked early on but sacrificed at HT for the re -organisation.Played a part in the build up to the first goal. 6
Taylor.Brilliant winner but prior to this didn't do much and falls over too often but his dis-allowed goal too shows he is capable of being top scorer again. 7
Easter.Took goal well but dive was amateurish and sending off let us down badly.6
Harrison.Lively and posed problems but lost it and was yellow carded-again-we don't need you banned as well so curb your red mist moments Ellis.6
O Clarke.Slotted in well.Made the winner with a superb pass.7.
Gosling.Made a class run at the end beating several defenders in the box.Has un-doubted quality but his corners are crap.
Crowd.Euphoria at the end was tangible and a beautiful moment.10
Mansfield.Very very intimidating with off the ball incidents taking advantage of very weak officials who could have nipped the incidents in the bud early on but chose to ignore Mansfield's bellicose tactics.Hunt,ex City, instigated a lot of dreadful  off the ball incidents and should have been red carded much earlier than he was.Awful attitude.
Ref.As a former Football league official for 12 seasons,I felt this guy was out of his depth not helped by weak linesmen.One off the ball incident early on was criminal.2
Nottinghamshire Police.Sorted three local yobs out at the end who were intent on causing trouble ,no messing.10.
DC.Re structured well at HT and stuck to his guns.8

Mansfield 7 A good side who lost my respect with their discipline which was appalling.

Nicholls - 7 looks very capable, good hands. Should he have come for their goal?

Leadbitter - 7 for the assist and standard strong game from him. Shame he went off
J. Clarke - 8 Pick of the defenders for me, good to see him back to his best after a few off performances
Lockyer - 7 Solid as per
Parkes - 7 As above
Brown - 7 Got forward well second half

Sinclair - 7 Standard energetic performance
Mansell - 8 Good game, Man of the match.
Lines - 6 Quiet 45 mins, did ok

Taylor - 7 Got the winner and looked useful all game
Easter - 3 Would've been a 0 for the dive alone but at least he scored! Silly red card even if it looked a bit of a nothing sending off

Subs: O. Clarke - 6 Did ok
Harrison - 6 Ran hard and made his presence felt
Gosling - 6 Not on long enough. Think he's a very useful player

One thing I notice now with giving ratings is that my comments are often similar week in week out for each player. You know what you're going to get every match with Sinclair, the whole defence and it's even becoming more consistent for the other players too. It's what we needed, consistency and we'll be up there come the end of the season i'm sure!
