Nicholls 6 Couple of shakey moments but mostly sound, can't recall him having to make a save Brown 7 Defended well and got forward well first half McChrystal 7.5 Very solid and assured Lockyer 7 Good defending, one great forward burst second half Leadbitter 7 played well, his pace is such an asset Bodin 6 Not at his best, but almost got a goal first Mansell 7 Very good first half and worked his socks off Sinclaire 7 Really looking at home at this level, tireless as always Gosling 7,5 some beautiful ball control and crossing Harrison 6 Won a lot in the air and put himself about,no real goal threat and some sloppy passing, missed his physical presence second half Taylor 5 found it hard to get in the game at times, was well marked second half
Subs Easter 7 Good footballer, shame he couldn't hit the target when he made himself a good shooting chance Montano 4 don't know what to make of him Blisset 4 Looked a conference player I thought
Crowd 6 Ref 5 Not great but a hundred times better than Saturdays clown Notts C 5 Some nice passing at times second half, but poor up front

Nicholls 7 Hardly anything to do.
Leadbitter 7 Looked good going forward, great pace in defence. Lockyer 7.5 apart from a few misplaced passes another solid game. McChrystal 7.5 Solid as a rock, better distribution than Parkes. Brown 7 Got forward very well first half with plenty of dangerous crosses, subdued second half as county man marked him out of the game.
Bodin 7.5 Some lovely touches and beat his marker loads of times, very unlucky with his effort onto the bar. Mansell 7 Industrious as always. Sinclair 7.5 Here, there and everywhere. Gosling 7.5 Another impressive performance.
Taylor 6.5 Worked hard as always.Linked up better with Easter than Harrison. Harrison 6 Plenty of fight but control and final ball let him down.
Subs: Easter 7 unlucky not to score, good link up play with Taylor. Montano 2 AWOL. Blissett 3 Bad first touch, just could not seem to control the ball and pass it.Very rarely threatened in the air.
Crowd 6 Ref 7 Notts County 6
I thought we played some very good stuff first half, with both Bodin and Gosling looking good. These games are so tight and are often decided by very fine margins and on another day Bodins shot goes in instead of crashing against the underside of the bar and we got 3 points. Apart from that there was not too many clear cut chances.
Second half County got a lot tighter on Brown and we seemed to lose our shape and gave county the initiative to attack us more but apart from a couple of dangerous crosses into our box they never really troubled Nichols.
We just about did enough to win the game but i am not too disappointed with a point as i thought we passed it well and tried to play football and the improvement in our general play now, as opposed to the start of the season is massive. We are an improving team.
My only gripe is with the substitutions, not sure if DC and lines have had a falling out,but bringing on Montano and leaving him on the bench backfired big time.I was hoping lines could have come on and slotted in next to Mansell with sinclair pushing up behind the front two.The pattern of our play needed changing then, but the opportunity was lost.
Sorry to say it but Monty looked completely lost and disinterested.

Nicholls 7 clean sheet cant fault his performance.
Leadbitter 7 clean sheet good for most parts. Lockyer 7.5 MOTM clean sheet getting better every game against 2 very experienced pro's tonight. McChrystal 7 clean sheet another assured performance. Brown 7 clean sheet a real threat first half.
Bodin 6 some good touches a little off the pace at times. Unlucky hitting crossbar. Mansell 7 good energy and presence. Sinclair 7 livewire and battling performance. Gosling 6 wasteful with final ball and set pieces.
Taylor 5 lively but ineffective. Harrison 4 not in the game to be affective.
Subs: Easter 7 looked bright and hungry. DC should have started him. Montano 5 rusty. Blissett 4 rusty
Crowd 6 Ref 7 Notts County 6 organised will be top half. Their no 33 was class.

Nicholls - 6 Quiet night, dropped the ball once but looked ok other than that. Distribution in the last minute was woeful but generally ok and looked to roll out a lot which is good to see.
Leadbitter - 7 Would've been a 6 as I thought he made a few mistakes first half but he came on massively in the last 20 mins, looked really dangerous going forward at times and did well at the back Lockyer - 8 Another great performance McChrystal - 8 As above, deserved his man of the match Brown - 7 Got forward and linked up really well in the first half. Whole defence was very good today, we didn't look like conceding really.
Bodin - 6 Some useful touches but quiet and ran into trouble a few times too many Mansell - 7 Was probably a 9 in the first half and man of the match but faded a bit in the second. Great gritty performance though Sinclair - 7 As ever, no explanation needed Gosling - 7 Very good from Gos today, oozes class, good pace and skill. Technically our best player I think. Can't rate higher than a 7 though as we didn't score and that's a key factor when rating this sort of player
Taylor - 4 Very quiet Harrison - 5 Huffed and puffed a bit but didn't offer loads. Disappointed with the strikers today. He didn't come back out second half did he? Took a knock before half time I think
Subs: Easter - 6 Pick of the strikers but only marginally Montano - 5 Didn't do a lot but wasn't on long Blissett - 5 As above, won a few headers but don't think he's the answer. Would prefer Lucas over Bliss
Crowd - 6 Good numbers, not much vocally, but not a great deal to cheer about in fairness Ref - 5 Poor first half I thought but better second. Notts County - 5 Completely mirrored the ref: Poor first half, better second. Alan Smith looked a good player still and controlled the midfield when Manse and Sincs lost their way a bit

Subs: Easter 6.5 Montano 4 Blissett 4
Crowd 6.5 Ref 6 Notts County 6
Not our night when we made most of the running. we defended really well, built attacks by knocking the ball round really well. In the first half we ripped into their right side with Brown playing out of his skin, but for all our corners and crosses we barely created a clear-cut chance ( not sure if that was great County defending, bad luck or our players not being in the right places). Perhaps we need a better finisher ( but where's the money for that ?) but I'd definitely say we need a natural right-footed wide man ( Gosling, Bodin and Montano are all lefties ). However, Play like this all season and we should rise the table. UTG !

Nicholls 6 - Didn't have much to do, heart in my mouth when he nearly dropped it into his own goal.
Leadbitter 7 - Decent, capable of better but overlapped well and made a really good tackle in the first half. Lockyer 7.5 - Solid again, Mr Consistent, brilliant run in the 2nd half, deserved better. McChrystal 7.5 - Won everything the air, no nonsense centre back performance. Brown 7.5 - Dealt with his man well, defensively solid and got forward well.
Bodin 7 - Unlocks defences well with the trickery he has, unfortunate to be subbed Mansell 7 - Industrious in the middle. Sinclair 7 - Another industrious cm performance, love the way he always has his hands out to make himself look big when the opposition running at him. Gosling 6 - Decent with the ball at feet but set pieces were poor.
Taylor 5 - Ineffective bar 1 half decent opportunity. Harrison 5.5 - Won the ball in the air once or twice and did well to win a free kick.
Subs: Easter 6.5 - Surprise omission from the starting line up, looked bright and our best chance of a goal. Montano 4 - Rusty, needs to start producing. Starting to Balanta last season, both played at a higher level, attitude issues and arrived with expectation but both disappointing. Blissett 4.5 - Too far away from strike partner. Won one header but didn't look hungry enough for a header just before that. Be surprised if he ever makes it and we need another striker as 4th choice for me.
Crowd 4 - Dead the majority of the match, completely flat. Attendance decent though. Ref 5 - Why did he stop the game when it was a good tackle and no head injury? Also gave a goal kick when it should have been a corner. Notts County 5 - Fair amount of possession but did little with it, completely unsporting when they kicked the ball out into the corner and looked happy to come away with a draw.

Nicholls 6 an ok game with one dodgy moment, needs to work on his kicking though Leadbitter 8 another good performance, his defending improves with every game Lockyer 7.5 Mr Reliable McChrystal 8.5 a captains performance Brown 7 good going forward well, defended well Bodin 6.5 did ok but clearly not fit Mansell 9 M.o.M grafted superby, set a great example, him and Macca lead by example Sinclair 7.5 the usual high tempo game from our action man Gosling.7.5 shows a lot of quality, he just needs to improve his final ball and then he'll be a genuine first choice player Taylor 7 did well, shoulnt have been subbed Harrison 6.5 he wont like me saying it but at the moment he's a better impact sub, he's better at running at tired defences Subs: Easter 7 he should always start, oozes quality Montano 6 a bit-part player, doesnt get enough game time to convince me Blissett 5 not good enough, sadly as he has the height and pace we need. Crowd 7 a good turn out Ref 7 a decent ref, who's biggest error war putting the wrong shirt on. Notts County 7 a good side, I'd like their no.33 in our squad

Because in my opinion their performances were all on a par irrespective of their times on the field of play. I would be interested to peruse your ratings if you consider mine to be not in agreement with your thoughts, unfortunately I do not see them on here.

Nicholls 5 little to do but spilt a couple of crosses Leadbitter 7 A real threat going forward our best winger on the night McCrystal 8 Handled Stead like a good pro gave him nothing Lockyer 8.5 Outstanding alongside Mac ,extra .5 for that amazing second half run Brown 7 Our second best winger Bodin 5 Apart from the shot that hit the bar he was anonymous Mansell 6.5 Did the dirty work but gets involved too much Sinclair 6.5 Bit of a curates egg good ion places then not so good Gosling 5.5 Flits in and out of game crosses and corners very weak Taylor 5 Another chance went begging doesn't get in the game enough Harrison 6.5 A threat on and off the ball but why isn't he told to stay in the middle Easter 6.5 Good work rate but missed a good chance Montano 4 Just not good enough Blisset 4 Have you seen the film Bambi, thats him

Taylor 5 Harrison 6
Subs: Easter 6.5 Montano 3.5 Blissett 3
Crowd 4 Ref 7 Notts County 6 - Completely agreed with others, their #33 was the best player for them, maybe best on the park. Their right back is awful and seemed lacking in wide areas.

Nicholls 5.5 Not much to do, but a few minor errors creeping into his game
Leadbitter 7 Good game getting forward, defensively getting better Lockyer 7.5 Very consistent and reliable McChrystal 8 Solid game Brown 7 Good defensively and going forward
Bodin 5 First game back after injury and it showed Mansell 7 Getting back to his best slowly Sinclair 7 Usual game from Mr. Duracell Gosling 6 Quite a good game, however, corners rubbish
Taylor 5 Not up this usual game Harrison 4.5 Better coming off the bench
Subs: Easter 6 Could have scored, should have started instead of Harrison Montano 3 Looked promising at Plymouth but did very little in this game, don't think he is up to it Blissett 3 Not good enough, has all the attributes to do better
Crowd 4 Very quite, needed something to get them into gear Ref 6 Steady game Notts County Got what they came for, a point. Did not show much to try and win the game Agree their # 33 was good

There were joint winners of the Man of the Match- Tom Lockyer and Mark McChrystal.
This was the first time this season that there were joint winners and it only happened once last season, when McChrystal, Parkes and Mansell all shared it in the Grimsby away match.
This may have been Lockyer's fifth MotM of the season, but I was surprised to see that he gave the second worst performance of the season (starts only). In the opening game he was rated 3.5, only Taylor in the same match (2.5) has had a worse rating.
Lee Nicholls' season average has now dipped below what Aaron Chapman averaged during his time at Rovers this season. Nicholls is now on 6.51, while Chapman's five appearances came at an average of 6.56.
Nicholls 6.3
Leadbitter 7.1 Lockyer 7.68 McChrystal 7.68 Brown 7.2
Bodin 6.4 Mansell 7.2 Sinclair 7.1 Gosling 6.5
Taylor 5.1 Harrison 5.3
Subs: Easter 6.5 Montano 4.4 Blissett 3.9
Crowd 5.6 Ref 6.7 Notts County 6.0

As regards the keepers score, I personally find it hard to score above a six especially when he has hardly had anything to do. Our defence has certainly looked after our keepers very well this season and long may that continue.

After that he has played centre back and has hardly put a foot wrong. After more than 100 games, I think he has finally found his position.
