That game gave me a headache - everything was lopsided, the position of the stands, the pitch markings being pushed up towards the home end, so the action seemed a long way away. Atmosphere poor if only because our 550 were spread out over a large area - and then the game started. Looking forward to seeing Steve K's comments (he makes sense when I can't). I couldn't quite work out why things didn't go so well in the first half (the pitch was giving me a headache anyway). We seemed second to the ball after a bright first five mins and there seemed to be a hole in our midfield but the fame was fairly piecemeal so hard to get a feel. Our defence was quite pressured under the long balls and CU got to a lot of the second balls which was worrying. Second half was better, even before MT's substitution. Would love to be a fly on the wall in the changing room because no one had high hopes at half time. "We're sh**, useless" etc. Still too many wayward passes but we got round them on the wings which helped change things and there was some extra creativity. Thought Ellis got the shithead chant when he scored BTW but I am a bit deaf. Problem is only many times do we only play well in one half, particularly the second half. When we play well in both, Hartlepool & Barnet as examples, we can beat most teams in this league.

Brilliant stuff! 19 Pts from a possible 24 on our travels this year. 4 pts from a possible 21 at home! I find those stats totally baffling, I can't recall another Rovers team being so poor at home but so good away. Perhaps if Ellis can get a couple next week he can take his confidence into the Carlisle game? I'm wondering whether any team has ever had such a massive discrepancy in favour of their away form. Seems bizarre.

I'd rather he just get on with his football. From his view point he probably is? Although you do wonder whether this week's fall out did spur him on to try and make a point, if so, I wish he'd do it more often (play well that is) Some fans were anticipating that Ellis would be left out of the squad as punishment. I'm sure that DC used the opposite approach - he seems to know when to use tough love and when a player needs support and an arm around the shoulder.

So does Easter start the game on the pine next week given Taylor and Ellis scored? Probably not, can not imagine Darrell wanting Easter kicking off. UTG

First time coming from behind to win since Jan 2014. First time winning 4 away games on the bounce for 25 years. I guess that is in "league" football? Gateshead at home last December was a come from behind win for sure.

Yep, DC said he saw he was back to his best in training, great encouragement from the boss that I'm sure he benefits from and sounds like he showed that for whatever reason

With Blisset the only alternative striker not sure many thought that, although it was a surprise to see him start.
