Nicholls 6 not a lot to do. My only question is whether he could have claimed cross for their goal.
J. Clarke 6 grew into the game, solid. Lockyer 6 won his fair share of challenges. McChrystal 7 good performance and battling performance Brown 6 solid and consistent.
Bodin 5 quiet game but always looked a threat. Mansell 6 battled well not commanding but did a job Sinclair 6 usual running a little less quality tonight Gosling 5 some good touches in and out of the game
Easter 5 tried but not his night Harrison 7 scored and hit bar. Battled well.
Sub: Taylor 9 MOTM changed the game with his ability. Assist and goal.
Crowd 7 Ref 5 Cambridge 4 poor side that offered little in terms of entertainment.
Watched at the Abbey Stadium, Cambridge!

Nicholls 6 Didn't have much to do. Becoming more and more evident with every game that he needs to come off his line more. Distribution is great though.
J. Clarke 5.5 Would have preferred Leadbitter personally and should have been tighter for their goal. Lockyer 6 Average. McChrystal 6 Average. Brown 6 Average
Bodin 5 Not one of his better games. Mansell 6 Average. Sinclair 6.5 Industrious performance albeit lacking quality Gosling 7 Bright game. Some good first touch passes.
Easter 5 Quiet, disappointing. Harrison 7 Won quite a bit in the air and a typical poacher's goal that we've missed at times.
Sub: Taylor 9. Well what can I say? Absolute revelation. Pretty much won the game for us single handedly. Harrison thought he proved the doubters wrong but Taylor did even more so. MOTM by a country mile.
Crowd 8 First half couldn't hear f**k all on the TV so moved downstairs and it was a great atmosphere both on the tv and at the ground. A proud night to be a gashead. Ref 5 Didn't feel like he gave a lot our way and another inconsistent ref which we've become accustomed to sadly. Cambridge 5. Took their goal well. Disappointed with them given their budget.
Watched on TV.

Read above and you will see the answer to that one. Please don't start on here as well. It's getting embarrassing and annoying other forum users.

I didn't think it was important to read a post before commenting on it.
So were you at the game tonight.
Oh obviously not otherwise you wouldn't have hijacked my thread earlier by suggesting DC bring Lines on.
Anyway. Not ruining the thread, its' just banter isn't it at the end of the day.
Get used to it. There is not lot more to come. Night night

Nicholls 6 - bit indecisive on occasions but that could be down to last weekend and his error at Morecambe. Keen to distribute early and handling sound. No chance with goal J. Clarke 7.5 - solid performance but caught out of position for first goal cross Lockyer 8 - solid and dependable McChrystal 7.5 - first half was given a torrid time by Corr but won everything in second half Brown 7 - one complete breakdown of communication in first half with Mac but very solid defensively thereafter Bodin 7.5 - the only bright spark of the first half and very willing to put a foot in and head in when needed. Mansell 7.5 - far better second half Sinclair 8.5 MOM - brilliant performance going forward and in defence. Broke things up, spread the ball wide easily Gosling - 7.5 like Mansell far better second half but always looking to cut inside. We know he can hit a ball from distance so hit it Easter - 7 - some nice hold play but we really never got going first half. Correctly subbed Harrison - 8.5 Almost MOM as for me this was his best all round performance in a Rovers shirt for some time. Should have scored early in second half. Scored the equaliser and general forward play in the second half will give the Cambridge defenders nightmares for weeks Sub: Taylor 7 - made an instant impact for the equaliser. Confident finish for the winner but should have hade two more. Feigning injury has never been a favourite of mine but his amateur dramatics for the ankle injury cost him a point (just a personal gripe as I hate the opposition doing it so being consistent) Crowd 6large in number quiet in voice. FDantastic turnout on a Friday evening Ref 6 - second half very good and willing to allow the physical challenges at this level Cambridge 4- faded badly and we stood off them too far in the first half 45mins

Nicholls - 6 looked nervy Clarke - 7 We miss him when he is not playing Lockyer - 8.5 Top drawer McChrystal - 8.5 Better with him in the team Brown - 7 Consistent Bodin - 6.5 Quiet game would like to see him play as a striker sometimes Mansell - 6.5 steady Sinclair - 9 Mom he was everywhere Gosling - 7 Patchy in places Easter - 6 Needs to feed off a big man Harrison - 8 A handful, but not quite as good as DC thought
Taylor - 8.5 Changed the game
Crowd - 8 could hear them on the live stream Ref - 6 average but didn't flash the cards around Cambridge - played the ball around nicely but too much reliance on Corrs.

Sorry all, I somehow forgot about the Ratings thread until this evening. Anyway here are the final ratings: Matty Taylor was the Man of the Match, the first substitute to do so this season. Last season only Blissett (Welling home) and Harrison (Halifax away) won MotM as a sub. Taylor was reliant on the 4th official to do so. My criteria is a player has to be on the pitch 30 minutes to qualify. Thanks to the 4 minutes of injury time, Taylor was on the pitch for 32 minutes. Maybe that's why he was rolling on the floor holding his ankle. These are the ratings for those at the game, those who watched on TV are in brackets. They are broadly similar. Those at the game gave an average staring XI rating of 6.7, those on TV a 6.6. Interestingly though, those that watched on TV gave a higher score for the crowd. Nicholls 6.4 (6.0) J. Clarke 6.5 (6.5)Lockyer 7.1 (7.1)McChrystal 7.0 (7.1)Brown 6.6 (6.5)Bodin 5.3 (6.3)Mansell 6.4 (6.3)Sinclair 7.0 (7.5)Gosling 6.5 (6.9)Harrison 7.4 (7.5)Easter 5.5 (5.3)Sub: Taylor 8.1 (8.4)Crowd 7.0 (7.7)Ref 5.8 (5.3)Cambridge 4.8 (4.5)
