They are good enough for league 2 just not for a side seeking promotion maybe?. Id like to see how they would do in front of a better midfield though Taylor should be an attacking midfielder in my opinion. We could play Taylor Easter and Harrison behind a target man in a 4-2-3-1 at home and we would do well. We miss a strong center forward, it's not that our 3 little forwards arnt good enough it's a case of them all being to similar and too easy to defend against for away teams that contain. We need someone who can cause havoc up top and Harrison Taylor etc will then have space.

It's the obvious formation for a side that has no decent wingers which is having trouble breaking sides down at home. I actually think we should try it next home game. Lucas up top, even Bliss we need to try something.

The ball would bounce off him most of the time but it would be unpredictable and awkward for the opposition and with Easter Harrison and Taylor feeding off him it would be better than our current approach of pass it sideways all match and then shoot whilst being closed down because there's room. I'd rather we gave Lucas a game though.

I actually quite like this as an idea: Nicholls/Mildy Leads Lockyer Macca Brown Sinclair Mansell Taylor Easter Harrison Lucas And then try and pull in a more experienced big forward as soon as possible. Bodin could also slot in to any of the three positions behind the forward as well I would imagine though. Won't happen though!

Can't believe the negativity towards Gosling on here? I actually think he's one of our better players! It's not very often that you get a extremely consistent winger in the lower leagues, and although he does blow hot and cold at times he's young and will only get better!
Considering when we went down we had no proper wingers (other then Kaid Mohammed who was sh*te) I think he's doing alright. Saying that I'd still like to see another winger come in. Montano looks like a complete waste of a wage. Definitely needs to start shifting his weight!

Taylor is definitely good enough for league two. Harrison is yet to convince me though. He's been shocking so far this season. He's been useless in virtually every league game at the Mem though this season. Harrison blows hot & cold, he seemed unplayable at Cambridge but yesterday not worth playing! At least Taylor has had plenty of good away games though and he has got in the right positions at home! Harrison has been shocking pretty much all season! Even in the Cambridge game when he gave it the big I am he got outshone by Taylor when he come on.

Also if you compare him to the likes of Monkhouse, Dawson and LDV and Bodin for that matter he is behind all of them.

Montano been hopeless whenever I've seen him play, I can't understand why we let Balanta leave then signed his inferior Colombian. You seem to have forgotten how bad Balanta was!

TBH out of the two I'd sooner see Balanta start on Saturday. Montano lining himself up to be one of our worse ever wingers at the moment.

Yeah I agree with that I haven't seen him take on a full back once yet and as for the pace he's supposed to have well , he just walks around in a daze looking completely uninterested most of the time and I don't think I've seen him run yet let alone sprint. Balanta looked like he was trying but just unfit and not very good. Montana looks slow, unfit , uninterested and not very good.

A forum is for opinions. My opinion is Taylor is more than up to it in this league. Harrison is debatable.

Everyone have there own opinions on players sometimes a player can take a while to settle in .It may depend on what other players are around him and what formation is played . Without naming names we have had many a Bristol Rovers player who has joined us from a non league club and has excelled for us and gone onto to play at a higher level On the other hand we have had some right donkeys ! Let's all stick together and support what's in front of us UTG

Taylor has 5 goals in 15 games in league 2, so 1 in 3. Considering his all round game and the fact that this is his first season in the league, that is more than good enough for league. Don't forget, he hasn't started all of the 15 games as well.
You are never going to have 2 out and out goalscorers anyway. So if we can bring in an out and out goal scorer, Taylor is good enough to partner him and to come off the bench.

harrisons goals last season and taylors industry despite dodgy finishing helped us get promotion and i was very exited about them this season expecting them to kick on and establish themselves as league players. but sadly im wrong taylor is never going to make it as a striker and neither is harrison,,,ellis looked disinterested and his 1st touch was lousy again today,he also gave away stupid free kicks when chesham were under pressure so frustrating taylor just isnt up to it where it matters most and im convinced both players will not be offered a contract for next season. Your surely taking the p after the accusations you made about fellow forum users criticising Harrison last week? It's baffling how Harrison & Taylor are good enough away from home but not at the Mem, surely for most strikers it's the other way round. We clearly need a Newport type John Lewis to take the pressure for them but where's the finance going to come from? Haha I was just thinking the same thing, last week Ellis could do whatever he likes as he is a hero now he hasn't scored we should chuck in the recycling He thinks he's better that he is hence the sh** attitude,I would put him on the transfer list and get someone else in who can he the target or get Lucas back an give him a run of games

The facts are clear to see, both the strikers miss after miss, yes they score goals but how many shots do they need before they actually hit the target, yes they have both scored goals, they should that's what there paid for........

True but still doesn't explain why they can't score at home,we should really go for it v Carlisle once the next home win comes I'm sure we're start banging them in for fun The defenders need some heading practice too,and midfielders need to have a go sometimes from distance,it amazes me from 30 yards out how they can't hit the target too much pressure on forwards all the time
