It sounds too similar to the EDL for my liking!

They should go back to divisions 1 to 4 and take in the conference as division 4

Seriously, is anybody going to refer to it other than the Football League? It's as even worse than renaming the Conference the National league.

I really can't see the need to change the name it has been the football league for over a century. EFin L

So instead of the English Football League (championship/1/2) they've just abbreviated it...
And it took input from 18,000 people

That's already used by the English as a Foreign Language industry.

Hate how the Prem is known as the "EPL" in the rest of the world. I reckon it's been done deliberately to sound similar.

Awful logo too. Looks like a petrol station's. Yeah, just looks like some anonymous, random, corporate logo you might see anywhere.

What a waste of money, and it's not even correct as there will be a couple of Welsh teams in the English Football League unless they expel Cardiff City and Newport County.

Added to which they'd need to expel the teds as well as they are not a football club, theyre a Bunch of ***ts - or a BOC as they're known in the States.

What a waste of money, and it's not even correct as there will be a couple of Welsh teams in the English Football League unless they expel Cardiff City and Newport County. Depends on how you look at it as wales has been ruled under the cross of st george since the 12th century (something like that) and is also a principality, and from memory one of the reasons they are not on the union flag like the other countries. of the union. Beside look at the money that will be wasted buying new stationary, signage and merchandise, would have been better spent on grassroots football, tis almost like they are trying to get rid of the old dinosaur image and make the name easier to text ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
