Well deserved and a sensible length of contract too, meaning he'll be busting a gut to earn another one at the end of the season.

Think the better players should be on 2 year deals or else they'll get poached easier. Would have given Bodin a contract till end of next season - he has the most quality with ball at his feet.

When did we last get a 1st team player poached on the cheap, rather than have to buy up his contract??

Happy with this and the length of the contract is right too.
Keep him hungry to extend it again after the season ends.

good news about billy,,,is the whole squad out of contract at the end of the season? the club are taking a realistic approach to contracts at last and should only go for longer deals if there convinced we have a valuable asset imo

Bodin's been good but it's early days to deem him worthy of a longer deal. I'd only consider longer term deals for Brown, Lockyer, Sinclair, Taylor and Ellis at present.

We all know from past experience his attitude can change once he knows he's got a job for another 2/3 years

Personally I can't believe we left it this late. But glad we've got him until the end of the season at the very least.

I personnally feel Ellis needs to step up a gear or two before he warrants a new contract, to suggest we offer Ellis a 2 year contract now must be a bit of a joke? Bodin's showing him the way at the moment.

Still think we will struggle to keep him especially if he is anywhere near Wales 1st tean come the end of the season - you forget Wales manager rates him highly as does DC listening to him on the Subs Bench last week so think your fans opinion might be a bit wide of the mark - we shall see as all down to Ellis now but if he's hungry enough and as DC stayed he's showing increased maturity he has everything to play for

Still find it hard to believe Ellis can be considered good enough for the Euro's but can't even hold down a place in a shot shy Div 2 side! Using that logic surely Easter is on the fringe of getting a recall as he's keeping him out of the 1st team?
