Great a achievement by Leon Smiths team. Delighted. God knows why people dislike Andy Murray so much. He has done so much to help put us back on the world map in tennis!

Some of the shots he played today were unbelievable. Its just a shame that he is the only singles player we have. This means he has to play the doubles to ensure enough points are won to complete a victory

It actually feels as though he wanted to win it for the team rather than himself.

The fact that Andy has to keep playing doubles will bite them on the bum one day. Just reading that Andy won 11 of the 12 points that the team managed on their victorius run.

We've won the only team competition in world tennis by having one decent player...whilst I congratulate Andy on his achievement, if UK tennis can't sort their act out this time and start developing future players who can reach the top ten in the world then (when Andy retires) it will be at least another generation before we get back to the final...

Slightly incorrect there mate. We have the number 2 singles player in the world and his big brother who is one of the very best doubles players on the planet. However, until we can find a different partner for Jamie, we will have to utilise Andy alongside of him, the result of every tie will come down to which team wins the doubles. Its a shame that Jamie has chosen another non Brit to play with in the New Year. It would have been nice to see him paired with Dom Inglot.
