Nicholls - 6.5: Did what he needed.
J. Clarke - 6.5: One wobble in the second half but a perfect recovery tackle. Lockyer - 7: Decent. Steady Eddie. Brilliant at clearing the ball. Parkes - 7.5: pick of the punch in the defence. Seems to be returning to his best.
Leadbitter 6.5: Decent. Taken off as a precaution. Important player going forward. O. Clarke - 7: Bright, good effort early on. He's deserving his place in the starting 11. Mansell - 7: Stuck in. Grew into the game. Did the dirty bits when the game got scrappy. Sinclair - 7: Man crush. How many times did he win the ball in the air? Brown - 6.5: This man has been brilliant to this football club.
Taylor - 9.999999: No one gets a 10. Gaffney- 8. Really promising signs. Battled well against a physical team. He reminds me of a quicker Richard Walker, as he knows what he wants to do with the ball when he gets it. Not the best finisher though.
Subs: Bodin - 6: Gave the ball away a couple of times but has magic feet. Cowan-Hall - 6: He's got something. Might struggle to get in the team though. Out of position a couple times. Nice feet though. Easter - 6.5: looked up for it. What an option to be on the Bench!
Crowd - 7: Best home crowd this season. Reflected in the 3 Nil score line. Ref - 7: A couple of odd decisions. But did well in a physical game. Few bookings- a few meaty tackles. Wycombe - 6.5: Looked dangerous and could have gone either way. But very cynical team. Time wasting in the first half. Ainsworth should focus on his team rather than "Game Management" and crying to the fourth. Expect them to be up their.

Nicholls 6 Hardly anything to do but looked more composed.
J. Clarke 7 Solid game. Lockyer 7 Usual no nonsense performance. Parkes 7.5 Had a battle royal with their striker and came out well on top.
Leadbitter 7 Got forward well again. O. Clarke 6 Played better second half, still needs a bit more composure. Mansell 7.5 Took the game by the scruff of the neck in the second half. Sinclair 7 worked his socks off as usual. Brown 7 Virtually played on the left wing in the second half.Good game.
Taylor 9.5 Fantastic performance and a brilliant hat trick. Gaffney 8 Great physical presence.Held the ball up well.
Subs: Bodin 6.5 Showed some lovely touches when he came on. Cowan-Hall 6 Has a great turn of pace and good first touch. Easter 6.5 Kept possession well.
Crowd 7 Ref 7 Wycombe 6 Ainsworth is a spoilt cry baby and a bad loser.

Nicholls 7 Spectator but good distribution again. J Clarke 7 Solid game Lockyer 7.5 solid game, made one very important tackle at 0-0. Parkes 7.5 Very good again. Back to his best, like him as part of a 3. Leadbitter 7 Pace caused problems again. O Clarke 6 Alright Sinclair 7 Mr Consistent, battler Mansell 7.5 Did well, got stuck in but let the ball bounce in the first half which nearly led to a goal. Brown 6.5 Solid effort. Taylor 10 He was a 7 or 8 in the first half without his goals so I have to give him a ten after his hat trick. Gaffney 8 Holds the ball up well and knows what he wants to do. Won a few ball in the air and feints a lot to create space. Bodin 8 Caused a whole heap of problems when he came on and won the 2nd free kick. Can see why he has 4 star skill moves on Fifa Cowan-Hall 6.5 Looked a threat and would certainly like to see more of him. Should have pulled it back instad of crossing though Easter 6.5 Looked promising when he came on Crowd 7 Much better than usual home games mainly down to the perofmrnace and opposition Ref 7 Better than most but still s couple of odd decisions. God knows how the linesman gave that as a foul against Lockyer. Also their player was offside when they hit the post. Wycombe 6 Didn't look as good as their league position but I think tonight was more of a case of us turning it on than the opposition playing badly. Looked promising to start with though albeit they are a dirty team who have all the tricks in the book.

Nicholls 7 not a lot to do. Crowd on his back was harsh first half.
J. Clarke 7 a better game got closer to his marker. Lockyer 8 Decent. Parkes 8.5 back to his best.
Leadbitter 7 up against their best player on the night. Was influential. O. Clarke 6 Bit of a passenger at times. Mansell 8 Another captains performance. Sinclair 8 Quick thinking for 2nd goal usual performance. Brown 6 ok, he is better in a more defensive role.
Taylor 9.5 he is on fire atm. Gaffney 8 lead the line superbly a great foil for Taylor.
Subs: Bodin 8 massive impact on the game, a box of tricks. Cowan-Hall 7 great impact. Easter 6 did ok.
Crowd 8 just love a happy mem. Ref 7 Wycombe 6 decent will be top 10.

Nicholls 7 Competent performance but wasn't really tested.
J. Clarke 6 Solid if unspectacular Lockyer 7 Another mature and reassured display Parkes 8 Seems to have rediscovered his form
Leadbitter 7 Excellent in the first half, seemed to be sacrificed for tactical change in the second O. Clarke 6 Probably the weakest performance of the evening - but even this merits a 6! Mansell 7 Competent and solid Sinclair 8 Another all-action performance Brown 6 Let down by a couple of poor crosses, otherwise a typical Browner performance
Taylor 10 What striking is all about. Gaffney 8 Good find this one - could be the "Smash" against Taylor's "Grab"
Subs: Bodin 8 Impresses with every game Cowan-Hall 7 Still finding his feet but a good cameo Easter 6 Seemed to be more interested tonight
Crowd 8 Brilliant apart from a few quiet periods in the first half and some needless barracking of Nicholls Ref 7 Competent Wycombe 6 Seen worse teams but a top 10 League 2 outfit

My own opinions from yesterday's game:
Nicholls 6 Untroubled for most of the game.
J. Clarke 6.5 Decent if out of the game for most of the second half Lockyer 6 One dodgy moment and I never like it when he lets the ball bounce. Parkes 7 Recovered Lockyer's mistake well and made sure the Wycombe attack was anonymous.
Leadbitter 7.5 Used his pace well as a wing-back but looked much more dangerous as a winger when Bodin came on. Great cross for the Taylor headed effort, I'd like to see him play as a winger more often. O. Clarke 6.5 Didn't assert himself going forward but helped shut out Wycombe in the first half. Mansell 6.5 good shot at the end, but a solid performance for the rest of the game. Sinclair 7 Great thinking to take the free-kick quick. Brown 7 Got forward well but needed more support from the midfield three.
Taylor 10 This has to be the benchmark on which to judge performances this season. Gaffney 8 Worked hard to create opportunities and space with Taylor. More of an all-round player than just a target man than I was expecting.
Subs: Bodin 7 The game sparked into life when he came on and the team looked so much more comfortable playing football. Cowan-Hall 7 Had some good moments and Lockyer missed a great chance from his cross. Easter 6 Not on long enough to make an impact.
Crowd 6 Ref 5 Not good, but mainly let down by inept linesman. Wycombe 5.5 Seemed to have a bit about them in the first half, but nothing in the second.
One thing I really like about this team is the way we can play more than one formation. We switched from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2 and instantly every player knew their new role. As Darrell said, Wycombe couldn't adapt quick enough to this change and from that we got the two cheap free-kicks as Wycombe struggled to know who was marking who especially now that Bodin was on the wing with Brown.

Nicholls 6.5 No mistakes, did fine. J. Clarke 6 One bad mistake that his recovered well from,an ok game Lockyer 8 a polished display from Mr Consistant Parkes 7.5 when Parkes plays well the team plays well. Leadbitter 7 bags of energy, final ball still needs improving O. Clarke 6 adequate. Mansell 7 a good second half, a bit quiet in the first. Sinclair 7 same as Manse, good quick thinking for second goal Brown 7 a good steady game but like Leadbitter he needs to improve his crossing Taylor 10 M.o.M. A perfect strikers performance Gaffney 8 a very promising game, he brings the best out of Taylor Subs: Bodin 7 did well when he came on. Cowan-Hall 7 looks lively and keen. Easter 6.5 tried hard in the short time he was on. Crowd 7 good support Ref 7 sensible performance, let the game flow Wycombe 6.5 a decent team beaten by a better team

Nicholls 6 - Didn't have to make a save.
J. Clarke 6 - Looks happier as a defensive RB rather than the outer CB I think. Lockyer 7.5 - Solid. Parkes 8 - Back to his best.
Leadbitter - 7.5 - Great pace, but lacked final product today. O. Clarke 6.5 - Not as good as earlier performances. Mansell 7 - Could have had a couple of goals from distance. Played well. Sinclair 8 Loads of energy. Better than last week. Brown 6.5 - Hasn't put a good cross in for a while now, but defensively dependable.
Taylor 10 - Won us the game with three well taken finishes. Gaffney 7.5 - Worked very hard, gave them something to think about. Drifted out the game at times.
Subs: Bodin 8 - Changed the game when he came on. Cowan-Hall 6 - Quiet performance. Easter N/A

Nicholls 7
James Clarke 7.5 Lockyer 8 Parkes 9
Leadbitter 7
Ollie Clarke 6.5 Sinclair 8.5 . Mansell 8
Brown 7
Gaffney 8.5 Taylor 10 MOM
Substitutes Easter 6 Cohen Hill 7 Bodin 6.5
Ref 6 Another who didn't get his book out and mainly allowed the game to flow which is good but some queer decisions that allowed Wycombe to get away with a lot.
Wycombe 6 A good side , very strong and a little nasty to go with it which makes me think they will stay in the mix but we deserved the win and the second half we were far the better side after an evenly matched first half that we probably edged.
Crowd 8 Got behind the team well and another good sized crowd considering recent home results
