In work, we have just had someone commit suicide. They jumped from the 20th floor onto the foyer, which is usually packed with people. I assume the first job for the Police is to work out if he jumped, or was pushed, but it's shocking nevertheless.

Is the 'Wife's packed lunch' a euphemism for something else? If so, it's best described as a 'ripped out fireplace'! Seriously, he probably woke up this morning and remembered he was still driving a Ford Focus. I suppose he couldn't get over the shame.

Nah, he was wearing a suit. Only about 5 or 10% of the blokes here wear suits, so he was most likely management level. I'm at gopher level.

You know we're going to get into trouble here. Maybe the Mods should move this to the Gentlemen's Lounge?

Suicide is a very sad thing and those touched by it rarely understand what drives people to make that choice. I feel for his family and trust he is finally at peace.
It's refreshing to see such topics dealt with in such a sensitive and thought provoking way.

My auntie committed suicide f**ks everyone up, tried myself a few times, however i will still say it is the most selfish act any one can do. Rather suprisingly it doesn't take much for some to attempt it, the real tradgegy is we never know if it was a cry for help or not
